It may go against some folks’ instincts, but it is perfectly okay and good to put things like this straight into the bin. As far as I know, books aren’t easily recycled with regular paper because of the glue used, and also it’s very satisfying to see them in the trash where they belong. These days books are mass produced, so it’s absolutely no loss to trash them.

Yes I agree JR makes comments for attention.....he's a bit like an overgrown teenage boy at times making daft stupid comments.

It just makes me sad that when he and others joke about these things, they are effectively condoning it, and making it harder for victims to speak up.

JR has an autistic daughter so he may have some traits as well? Immature inappropriate comments which land him in trouble?

If he has autistic traits he is also highly enough functioning to navigate an extremely complex working environment for multiple decades. He knows what he's saying. Same as Gregggg.

Totally agree. Bad behaviour is too often explained away or excused by a diagnosis. The diagnoses de jour are ADHD/bipolar or autistic spectrum. Actually having a proper diagnosis and living with the challenges thereof, m is one thing but wheeling out a “diagnosis” as a get out clause is sickening.

Oh I'm not excusing him...Just that he appears to be a bit immature and inappropriate with his comments at times.

I loathe these new criteria for ADHD/ASD diagnosis too. I have 2 adult children tormented by trying to live with them.
