It’s weird, I used to love following her and Callie for fashion but they both just don’t really post much about fashion anymore? And when they do it feels very inaccessible - either cost wise or just not outfits normal plus people wear who have jobs and children. Maybe I’m just not their target audience anymore? Not cool enough 😂

I think both Danie and Callie a few years back used to be great to follow but now they’re so far from relatable I can’t bare to watch them

Or maybe it's them that are no longer cool ...especially Callie, her grubby black boob tube does not exude coolness !!

Yes the fashion side of things for both Dani and Callie has really fallen on the wayside over the last two years. Dani is stylish yes, but the oversized look in boring colours wouldn’t be my style at all so her looks aren’t appealing to me. I do appreciate her trying to bring looks from skinny size to plus size though. The idea is great, the clothes that are chosen aren’t.

It is a cool concept, but she doesn’t sell it well. She could have made such a great series with a logo and branding for it - but it’s just a bit of a damp squib. She honestly comes across so disinterested in her followers, engaging with them seems like a chore to her and she constantly goes over to Twitter to moan about her IG followers like there’s no overlap? It’s very odd.

I struggle with her presentation of the looks she is 'modelling' ..yesterday's for example, I was completely distracted by the ridiculous sunglasses that looked like they were about to fall off her face any second !

I think she attempts to go for sophisticated looks and they just don't look right...whether that is the overall look or it could be that it's how she models them ...

I haven’t been able to take her seriously since she designed those toggle shoes for M&S, they were awful why would I want my shoe hanging onto my ankle with the fastening of a raincoat ?!

I thought they were a good idea for plus sized ankles and also pregnancy.

I am old raver and toggles were quite prevalent so I quite enjoyed the nod to dance culture whilst, I don’t know, being able to pair them with different types of outfits.

Taste eh - we don’t all see or like the same.

Apart from the fact that this couch jump post is the height of mortification... major eye roll at her reposting people posting her really unfunny picture. Look at all of these people who think I’m hilarious 🤮🤮

Also the weekly ‘Instagram is ruining my career’ posts begging people to ENGAGE!!! We can see your posts love. They’re rit. Uuuugghhhhh. 🙄🙄🙄

I mean adjustable shoes are great. I’m plus sized myself so I’m partial to a good bit of elastic. But the level of support from those toggles would seriously not be enough for my ankles. I would have rolled over and ended up on the floor within minutes if that’s what was keeping my foot in!

To be honest it’s less the design of the toggle and the way it looks, more the ankle support, just felt like it was asking for you to fall down flat whilst wearing them 😂

How does she get so many lucrative ads and contracts she is completely unrelatable and wooden . So strange why companies keep working with her

The toggle shoes were unwearable
I got where she was going with the adjustable ankle strap idea, but then the heels were so ridiculously high they were just asking for an alleged to be broken wearing them
All of the shoes that got designed for that M&S edit bar one were absolutely hideous

My pet peeve at the moment is Instagram influencers re-posting on their stories other influencers saying how great they are. I’ve unfollowed Dani today after a slew of re-posts from people saying how hilarious she is.

I used to really like her but she’s become dull and unrelatable. There’s a cycle of posts that she repeats: TMI about ‘my girlfriend’, followed by complaining on Twitter that people are too interested in their relationship, followed by moaning about her rit engagement levels, followed by loads of self congratulatory ‘I’m so hilarious’ posts.
BORING!

Her engagement levels would probably increase if she was a bit more innovative or interesting. All these influencers moaned through lockdown about losing freelance work. Yet, they could have tried to make the most of the opportunity. I would have loved to see some comfortable but stylish working from home looks or maybe some tips on working out at home as a plus size person or literally anything that would be relevant during lockdown.

I don’t know why she wasn’t posting looks from her home. She could have taken one key piece per week and styled it in a few different ways . All using stuff she had in her wardrobe. That’s the sort of plus size fashion inspiration I am after. And if her pain was too bad for that, she could get a mannequin and photograph the clothes on it or even on their hangers if getting in and out of the clothes is too much.

In general most of the plus size influencers have been a big disappointment during lockdown. They’ve basically inspired me to stop following them.
