The comments on that Instagram post with her girlfriend are deliberately antagonist and unnecessary. They have followed the rules 100% and seem to have a great relationship tbf

I think dani knew that photo would raise eyebrows... I personally don’t mind dani but there is something about the girlfriend that I can’t put my finger on. I do not like her one bit at all

Agree. Also agree with other comments on the thread, as a whole I really like her and weirdly despite utterly hating the influencing industry I think she’s one of the better ones who wouldn’t flog you rit for a pay cheque, although that’s afforded by her personal privileges isn’t it - she doesn’t have to take tit jobs like the other girls at it. Her most recent BLM was good but again she can afford to turn the work down, then again we’ve seen grabby influencers who could afford to do better and haven’t so still good on her...

The girlfriend stuff just sets off such huge red flags, you hear a lot about love bombing and rushing the sense of intimacy / closeness in abusive relationships on true crime podcasts and it makes me worry for her as there’s clearly a possible motive for someone untoward to wheedle their way in ASAP. I don’t agree with the nasty physical appearance comments & some of them feel like... transphobia (?) even though the gf isn’t trans, but it’s perpetuating those icky viewpoints isn’t it? Maybe it is just homophobia I don’t know.

Spot on - all these nasty comments about her GF’s appearance (and faux pretending that they are male / her son(!)) are just pure homophobia.

100% agree with this. There seems to be a very specific, insidious type of homophobia reserved for butch lesbians and it's not cool.

Cute stories of them both our names together today. Her gf looks lovely. I can see why Danie is attracted to her.

Sorry but complaining about how hard life is because she can’t film good content? Plenty of other issues in the world currently that don’t compare in slightest

It *is* her job right? I think it’s ok to worry about that? Otherwise it’s kind of whataboutery.

Perfectly reasonable to worry about it, I guess there’s an element of (to quote DV herself) ‘read the room’ to it. I think some thought about the need to share those worries with thousands of followers who may have lost their loved ones, homes, jobs etc might have been a good idea

I generally really like Danielle - I think nine times out of ten her heart is in the right place and she does seem to practice what she preaches. However, I do sometimes find her quite pious and prone to a bit of virtue signalling - which is a phrase I try not to use because I think it gets chucked out whenever anyone online does something that makes someone else feel like they could do better and we have to get used to the fact we could do better. That said, I can't think of another phrase for it! Most recent example is her comments about Below Deck - she had seen Bethany Rutter tweet about loving it, started to watch it and then tweeted that she'd stopped because she found it transphobic. I've seen the episode in question and it is indeed transphobic, but why couldn't she have quietly stopped watching and then if anyone had asked her what she thought of the show, she could've explained. Doing three tweets to say she'd stopped watching felt like she was shading Bethany and trying to show how Good she is

I find it arrogance?- sometimes ‘look at me look at me’

Agree! I do find her a bit attention seeking and infantile - or at least teenage? I'm trying to cut her slack because I've read things that say a person's first queer relationship can sometimes mirror a teen or first love type thing no matter what age they are but... patience is wearing thin

I thought the same yesterday with her posts about telling a friend of a friend that her ex is bad news. While I appreciate this is a situation that is tricky, putting it on Twitter felt like an attention seeking trick to cause a bit of drama

Yes! I read those tweets and thought the same. Very juvenile - obviously it’s a crappy situ (if true) but it’s not really her place to get involved. She could tell her own friend but not the person in question IMO.

Did Danielle delete those tv show Tweets? I went back to look today and couldn’t see them. I did that because 🤥.....Louise McSharry chimed in as she had enjoyed whatever it was too. I really, really like Louise ....she is borderline painfully woke sometimes though and just wondered how it had gone down if there was offensive content being pointed out.

I also broadly really like Danielle. She’s doing it the best of those I follow anyway.

I think that's really sweet actually! I don't think it "looks like a bloke" - even in real life (rather than an illustration!) her girlfriend is a butch lesbian but I don't think she's particularly masculine looking
She looks too much like an adolescent boy to be butch
