Yep! There's that joke about a lesbian bringing a removal van on a second date :LOL: while it may be common to move at lightning speed, as a lesbian I cannot say I've ever felt the need to live tweet a first date, discuss the ins and outs of my relationship on social media or appear as a guest on two podcasts to talk about being a lesbian all within a couple of months of first meeting or just generally behave as if you're the only person to have ever fallen in love with a woman :rolleyes:

Just realised how horrible my comment came across as! I’m so sorry if it seemed like that! But still now that I know it’s common I will not make anymore comments about our friends lol

I think she comes across quite well in her little videos she’s been doing. I know it’s basic, like tying your hair up and morning routines.
she hasn’t mentioned her gf for a few days... is she feeling ok?!! 😆

I actually do give DV credit for this. It is a subject which has horrified and angered so many of us, and I can’t criticise her for wanting to raise awareness to injustice.

I suspect it’s a “damned if you, damned if you don’t” situation for most fashion influencers with heavy hitting topics like this, so she is taking a risk in a way highlighting these issues and using her platform.

I do take your point though, it will be interesting to see how many influencers actually revisit and keep highlighting this issue to their followers, after the immediate furore has calmed. Otherwise it is just empty virtue-signalling.

Agreed, I think she's one of the more intelligent/educated influencers so can actually speak well on issues too. Also acknowledges her privilege constantly & has navigated covid unscathed because of it. I remember at the start she even asked her audience how they felt about influencer content etc and she was going to post more about styling from your current wardrobe rather than buying things which puts delivery drivers etc at risk, I think she genuinely tries.

I know there's a lot of cross over in this thread with the Callie one, but comparing the two is night/day. And if anything Callie being from a 'normal' background you'd expect her to be doing these bits well based off her lived experiences, but I think she's actually genuinely very dim so can't...

Agreed - don’t want to derail but CT doesn’t strike me as the sharpest tool in the box (but then I would hope that someone who had Dani’s expensive boarding school education would be a touch more intelligent...!).

I have to give DV credit for trying to educate herself and using her platform/influence for good. I might have to go to the “Rave” thread for a change...! x

I think that's really sweet actually! I don't think it "looks like a bloke" - even in real life (rather than an illustration!) her girlfriend is a butch lesbian but I don't think she's particularly masculine looking

I do think she should have written a LOT more on the subject but I was comparing her with her mate Callie who works with them many times and has remained silent.
