But what would she actually do ? She spends most of her time in bed with a hot water bottle !I was thinking the same, if she hates it so much then get a different job
Her mum had cancer not very long ago. She recovered but I guess cancer can always come back, so it’s maybe an obvious assumption if she’s been really quiet. Why is everyone thinking it’s to do with her mum?
deadMy friend didnt realise Dani was the gf until she saw the photo on insta she just said she has a fat blogger who overshares and has just turned lesbian.
It is a cool concept, but she doesn’t sell it well. She could have made such a great series with a logo and branding for it - but it’s just a bit of a damp squib. She honestly comes across so disinterested in her followers, engaging with them seems like a chore to her and she constantly goes over to Twitter to moan about her IG followers like there’s no overlap? It’s very odd.Yes the fashion side of things for both Dani and Callie has really fallen on the wayside over the last two years. Dani is stylish yes, but the oversized look in boring colours wouldn’t be my style at all so her looks aren’t appealing to me. I do appreciate her trying to bring looks from skinny size to plus size though. The idea is great, the clothes that are chosen aren’t.
i definitely never looked at it like that only because they found each other when they were quite young before she was ‘insta’ famous. I do feel like he’s geniuely in love with her however I have no idea how he could stand to be with someone as lazy as she is. She is very lazy and selfishControversial here and whilst I agree Dan does the lion share of work, however..... he wouldn’t be living a lifestyle anything close to what they are without her bringing in those sponcon experiences. He is sort of a sugar baby. I do feel uncomfortable seeing the dynamic because I wonder if that’s why he feels obliged to do everything from mist her (most recently on insta) to sorting them flat single handedly etc etc... but he’s lining his pockets nd all IMO![]()
That’s it exactly. It’s just so hard to watch someone do nothing to help themselves. She openly says she doesn’t stick with her pain management treatment plans (or explore new ones) or Personal training exercises. I’m not saying it’s a ‘solve all’ but I gave up drinking and it’s helped no end with my condition. It’s hard sometimes but I don’t feel like I can moan about something and then not do everything to help myselfShe draws attention on chronic illnesses that are not well known to the general public but then, she just appears as lazy and complaining all the time and I am astonished she still get contracts/partnerships. She is ill but doesn't look like she tries to do anything to get better. I know there is no cure but trying to live a healthier life (walking a bit, reduce the alcohol consumption...) when she hasn't an illness crisis. If she does nothing, it will probably get worst . Or maybe she does but that's not the image I get.
Yes it’s actually quite sadDV seems to have v low self esteem as she's put up with very unhealthy relationships for years (as she's documented) so this one sliver of kindness has had a disproportionate impact on her. Hence all the rushed commitment and immature / teenage declarations of love.
probably because she’s been spoilt all her life. How can you act like such a brat at that age? It's bizarre!
Agreed, I think she's one of the more intelligent/educated influencers so can actually speak well on issues too. Also acknowledges her privilege constantly & has navigated covid unscathed because of it. I remember at the start she even asked her audience how they felt about influencer content etc and she was going to post more about styling from your current wardrobe rather than buying things which puts delivery drivers etc at risk, I think she genuinely tries.I actually do give DV credit for this. It is a subject which has horrified and angered so many of us, and I can’t criticise her for wanting to raise awareness to injustice.
I suspect it’s a “damned if you, damned if you don’t” situation for most fashion influencers with heavy hitting topics like this, so she is taking a risk in a way highlighting these issues and using her platform.
I do take your point though, it will be interesting to see how many influencers actually revisit and keep highlighting this issue to their followers, after the immediate furore has calmed. Otherwise it is just empty virtue-signalling.
