I’ve had my first vaccine so far (Pfizer). My period is now over two weeks late. I’ve always had pretty regular periods! I’m ready to start trying for a baby so it’s really worrying me about having the second vaccine now.

I feel like my cycle is longer now, it used to be 28/30 days and now it’s usually 31/32 days. After my second jab, I was also a week late! I thought I was pregnant as It was unusual for me… My period is also shorter… I spot for a day then have 2 heavy days and then spot last day. I feel like it used to be longer?! Maybe only a day or so but still. I’ve also had more pain with them, backache etc
I’m ttc so a bit concerning, I hope it hasn’t affected anything 😭

I don't have periods anymore (hysterectomy due to hormone issues)

Can i ask as well as changes to periods have any of you noticed a change to your hormones too?
PMS, migraines etc

I'm terrified to have the jab because any hormone fluctuations cause me serious problems 😢

I’ve had vaccine 1 (Pfizer) back in June but I’m also on the implant which is known for weird cycles. But still a bit worried that some of the changes are due to the vaccine. I completely skipped a period last month but this month has been much more heavy and painful than any I’ve had since getting the implant earlier this year. I had to take painkillers to get through the first two days.
Exactly what happend to me and I’m on the implant also, but they have been regular until I got the first vaccine

Yes I posted about on it the vaccine thread at the time too. After my first AZ jab my period came really early and lasted for over 3 weeks. It was also extremely heavy. I reported it via the yellow card site. I really hope there won’t be any long term effects.

Thank you all for sharing! Seems like people being affected in all sorts of ways.

I totally agree about the periods being more heavy and painful. Sometimes it can be unbearable!

Can I ask what the yellow card site is, please?

I’ve had Pfizer (only one vaccine and not having my second until August) and have found that I’ve had my periods every three weeks since I had the vaccine in June.

I’m trying not to worry about it because I’ve been the opposite too, where my cycle has been every 40 days (prior to the vaccine) and I didn’t dwell on it so me being every 21/22 days may just be a “thing” for at the moment. I have mentioned it to my GP though.

Just to add my first period after the vaccine was light and only lasted three days. My second period was heavier and lasted six days. 🤷🏻‍♀️
