Another poster mentioned doing one in the crime and murder thread

When you do post a documentary please can you also the streaming service / channel it's on? Thank you. I am aware that some documentaries will be repeated on more than one channel

Currently I'm binging Banged up abroad which is about people being caught doing illegal stuff abroad. It's usually drug smuggling but there are countries where alcohol and homosexuality is illegal.

Its on the My5 streaming service.

It is from 2015, but did anyone ever watch Making a Murderer on Netflix about Steven Avery? I've gone back and forth with this for years now and I still don't know what to fully make of it. I'm not sure if it's still on Netflix (I cancelled my subscription a few months ago) but there is stuff about him on YouTube still.

I rarely watch them these days tbh but there was a half decent one IMO about a fairly obscure UK serial killer on Amazon soberly titled "Confessions of a psycho killer". I have prime so it was free.

There's not too much info on Mackay: (Specifically chunks of his adolescence) except a couple of books; one contemporary one was published back in the 70's shortly after arrest. Another published more recently but it's just rehashing pre existing and old material. This doc interviews the detective in charge of the case which is a first AFAIK.

I first read about him in a case study years back and it got me curious.

I found it interesting at least. It wheels out the "usual suspects" recidivists though but many others do too TBF.

Yes I did. I still can't make my mind up to this day of who or what I believe.

Fred Dineage did a documentary about Patrick McKay. The title escapes me at the moment. I think it might be Britain's most evil killers which is repeated on Sky Crime

Well I've learned Fred Dineage is still alive today.
It's Monday and I'm thankful for small mercies.

I don't know if he still does but he did Saga cruises talking about the Krays and Theatre tours doing the same.
" It’s Fred Dinenage and I’m on board the Saga river cruise ship Spirit of the Rhine on the Rhine! I’m meeting the lovely passengers and giving two talks - one about the Kray twins (Ronnie, Reggie and Me) and the other about sixty years of tv rooster-ups (Sometimes it won’t be alright on the night!)."

I got Fred Dinnage mixed up with Fred Dibnah - I was very confused there (showing my age) 🤣
So do I - I remember F. Dinenage doing How TV and just realised I am not that much younger than him. :)
Will have to look at the Crime and Investigation Channel. I only have Netflix as an extra.

Fred Dibnah always made me feel anxious even when he wasn't scaling a chimney or something.
It's a pity he died as I reckon he'd be a good presenter of "True Crime" docus.
I'd watch them.

Doh ....me too!

It's just dawned on me that when Caroline Dinenage was being talked about re all the ITV shenanigans ......and it was mentioned that she was Fred's daughter......I had Fred Dibnah in my head 😆

Every day's a school day 😆 🤣 😂

Few things I’ve watched recently;
I fought the law on ITVX.
Betrayal on Disney.
My wife, my killer and the secret footage. Channel 5.

Cannot believe the unknown caller!!! I don’t know how to put a spoiler so I won’t say anything other than WOW 😯

Is there a particular Crime documentary/case you can watch over again or have watched more than once?
