Mr2 saw the 1st 5 minutes of Unknown Caller, told me who Dunnet, then buggered off to watch something else upstairs 🤣
He hadn't seen it previously, he tends to not watch 'my' death & danger programmes

What was so interesting about “Unknown Caller” was the impact this has on the small town and friendship groups. The big reveal at the end was so shocking. The perpetrator seemed so normal but deep down was a cold hearted psychopath.

(Very hard to write that without giving the end away)

Laura Whitmore currently has a documentary on Crime and investigation channel on Britain's Killer Teens

Watched episode 3 last night and I'm glad that currently it's not cases I'm familiar with

I think she is a very strange choice for this (not watched it by the way)

Then again, the same can be said of Kym Marsh, Katherine Kelly, Will Mellor etc etc.

I saw this mentioned and wasn't going to bother as there are so many 'Teen Killer' series...it is the same cases repeated.

I will give it a go now after reading your post x

The Preppy Murder: Death in Central Park on ITVX.

Senseless waste of life in all directions.

I'd never heard of this case before, and it was very interesting to see people's perspectives in the 80s.

Laura does do a True Crime podcast so maybe it is seen as an extension of that.

Oh, I had no idea - never listened to a podcast in my life (I'm old) - so you're probably right.
I only started listening to podcasts when I listened to a Lucy Letby one after the trial ended, and now I'm hooked. Laura's is one she does with Iain Stirling called Murder They Wrote, it is available on BBC sounds, about 30/40 minutes each and a fairly easy listen. (If you ever wanted to dip your toe in)

I saw a programme advertised on Reddit about a woman killed by her boyfriend of 8 weeks. Clicked the link and scrolled down. A quick nose and the other episodes look interesting

Old one but the railway killer on paramount.
John Duffy. About half way through and it’s a good documentary so far

I watched this& found it disturbing. I hadn’t heard of the murders & the terror they deliberately put their victims through really got to me.

I'm old enough to clearly remember the original Crimewatch UK reconstruction and appeal regarding the murder of Alison Day at Hackney Wick. Just found it on YouTube actually - it was broadcast in February 1986. I was eleven.
