Good idea! I hope you don’t mind if I copy and paste your post and my response directly from there ,
@Windswept to save me writing the same thing again and get the ball rolling...
Have just caught up with the news.
Was not expecting a rehash of the Charlie Sheen naming from how Corey has been acting hiring security to follow him everywhere. Is Sheen really that powerful? Also, Sheen's name is mud for various other things as it is. Not like he had a reputation to ruin that much.
I’m just catching up too... 4 bodyguards sounds a bit performative for sure. But I do think there are powerful people in Hollywood who want this sort of thing squashed, much more powerful than Charlie sheen. That said, since the ‘big name’ turned out to be him, revelations we already heard years ago it doesn’t seem like Feldman has a much dirt to expose people with as he let on - or as he used to promote the film and convince people To buy it. He should give people their money back at this point.
It’s very sad, and he’s clearly a very damaged man. I don’t doubt that he and Haim were victims of some terrible things along with many other child stars.
But that doesn’t mean hes not capable of problematic actions himself - tho they also don’t mean what he’s says isn’t true. It’s the classic struggle of a high profile victim / accused.
Hadley freeman did a brilliant profile of Corey Feldman a few weeks ago which looked at that issue a lot. It’s very fair and I urge anyone interested in this story or even frustrated by Feldmans behaviour to read it
