Clothes for apple shaped bodies

Hi , does anyone out there with an apple shaped body have any tips on which clothes are flattering ?

I'm a size 12/14 but feel most clothes make me look bigger than I am. I end up just wearing leggings and baggy jumpers, but I'd like to wear some nicer clothing.

Following - I'm apple shaped too, but tall, plus sized with big boobs. Nightmare!! Basically need to create the illusion of a waist and hips

I'd try wearing flowly tops and jeans for example - no tops that are tight around the mid-section
