Why not go to Ghana this year then? And see this beautiful house that they have built? Or did she forget that she said that lie too?
Being married to a Ghanaian building houses there is a fraction of the cost of building one here ….My hubby built one as soon as he started making money here in the UK but primarily it wasn’t for us especially although it does has a separate annex for us if we go to visit his family … he built it so his parents and siblings could move out of the slums they were living in and have a better life … Ghanians are very family orientated and you can bet without doubt if they did have a house built there Family would very much be living in it…. And it would be very basic … the first time I went it was a totally culture shock … especially the fact that because of Dumsor you never knew when the electricity would be on or off lol…

Yea I find it odd that they don't travel there every few years to see family. I thought they chose Spain to see how the younger ones were on a flight before the longer flight next year.
Ghana is about 6-7 hr flight and Jamaica is 9.5-10.5 hrs
She tells that many lies I’ll believe it when they are actually on the plane heading to Jamaica but these days you can fake anything even that it’ll probably be a photoshopped Skegness

Penzance and Hayle are both relatively flat and nice areas to stay. I would investigate on Tripadvisor for Air B&B there are loads of lovely ones all over Cornwall.
I hear you on the mobility side of things I’ve developed PMR this year so understand your struggle.
Places to visit:
St Ives but very hilly
Polperro is so beautiful that’s a must!
Looe is very touristy but maybe okay in September.
Padstow bit hilly though.
Fowey
Truro is a lovely place especially for shopping and have a lot of independent shops too.
Charlestown a couple of miles away from St Austell is really lovely! Have some lovely restaurants around there I can’t remember all the names but I’m sure if you google them the best ones will appear!
Definitely go in September! It’s always crazy in the school holidays!
Happy 40th birthday to you for this year
P.s You’ll actually be able to buy stuff from the bakeries because the resident won’t be here
Hopefully I’ve been of some help to you

Really £1k each that's cheap
There were cheaper in different parts of the island, can't remember if they were all inc. I just looked for Montego Bay because they were watching a youtube about there

Ha ha ha Jamaica in August is crazy! I got stuck in the cat 5 hurricane last October in Jamaica with my family it was awful
Loved Jamaica but it was very hot in October but August will be hell for young kids the humidity is something else
If spending that kind of money why not Florida or something more child oriented

Thanks Wendy thats fab! Penzance did come up as an area on my google searches but not heard of Hayle so will definately look that up

Other areas you mention are on the list to visit but wouldnt stay there as main base.
Penzance is nearly 7hrs drive from me its the only thing putting me off. But if i think that way then id never go!

I will definately be trying a proper cornish pasty as ive never had one! Not worried about calories as i need to put weight on

I also love Port Isaac … but again it’s quite hilly last time I was there we sat in a little pub near the quay and listened to The Fishermen Friends … it was a fantastic evening the locals were so friendly …

Try holidaycottagespolperro on Facebook or online. We’ve stayed there lots of times in different cottages and can’t fault any of them. We’ve been all over Cornwall, but we’re always drawn back to Polperro. We’re also going in September and can’t wait.

Is Polperro a good base or is it hilly and difficult with mobility issues? X

It is actually quite hilly not a good base with mobility issues but if you do come you must visit there it’s the most beautiful place in Cornwall in my opinion anyway!

I hope you ordered them a scratch card when you revealed the destination?
Also hope you had the ring light set up and prepped the kids to dance and jump about once they have revealed the destination!

You didnt? Wow! Someone call social services.
