I got my 2 CT grey diamond engagement ring back in 2018 and it was around 3,500 at the time but now the same ring is almost 12,000 euro which is ludicrous. As much as I love my grey diamond, I recognize that this is a complete rip off. We had one of the gold coins to use that we got from last back Friday so my husband bought the moon crescent necklace for me and we here horrified to see how small it was when it arrived. The chain was significantly shorter than advertised , it was like a choker around my neck. The retail value is over 450 I think and the gift coin was worth 300 but we will definitely be sending it back. It's so small and flimsy , cannot see how it warrants that price tag. As the business has scaled up , it's lost its magic for me and seems to be driven more by greed now.

I was just looking at the Chupi website and I was so shocked by the price jump I came here to see if anyone else had said anything! I've had my eye on that 2 CT ring for a few years for "when it was time". I was shocked to see it go up to 6,000 last year but my God, I cannot get over it being 12,000 now! If I had 12K to spend on a ring I would not be going to Chupi!! I actually think she's completely ruining the brand with those prices. I used to be such a fan and have a few pieces, but that's really after putting me off the whole brand.

I think her jewellery is lovely altho massively overpriced. What annoyed me is multiple times in her pregnancy she referenced how VILE all maternity clothes are and how she was wearing regular dresses. Now I was pregnant at the same time and as I had an almost 10lb baby wearing normal dresses simply wasn't an option as I was huge so the VILE maternity had to do. She made me feel huge frumpy and disgusting with that comment.

You'd know she was a bit of a hippy! I couldn't tell you how many times she's posted the same pic of her Mam labouring on her and how it was snowing etc....

I think she's selling the dream of a lifestyle as a manic pixie earthchild, and that's why so many buy into her elaborate storytelling to the extent that they will fork out big bucks for her overpriced grey diamonds.

So glad my husband didn't get my ring there! I have very classic taste, so I would have DIED with a twiggy band.

It seems very outdated, gendered and irrelevant. I think it is tacky and 'show-offy' but that is my own personal opinion. I can't believe people spend 1000s on them, what a waste of money.
I also find it pretty annoying that Chupi says she is 'empowering people' through her basic, grossly over-priced jewellery that makes her millions. Pink washing at its finest.

Mine isn’t expensive at all. In my opinion it’s not tacky or “show -offy”. It is simple and tasteful but most importantly it is a symbol.
It’s my favourite piece of jewellery and holds the most amazing memories.

I'm so glad I came across this thread. Was planning on a trip to Dublin to look at the wedding rings, but as many said here, I'm convinced they have shot up in price. I love the twig look but, looking at other rings I can get 18k for the same price as 14k.

She needs to grow a thicker skin. 99% of the comments are positive. I have only seen a handful calling it out as a marketing ploy and they are not nasty....just calling out that it seems unlikely and it does make for great marketing.

I hate when businesses or influencers do this and focus on only the negative comments. It makes them look incredibly immature and narcissistic.
