Christmas 2025 #2

We are skipping christmas this year ( still getting everyone presents of course) no tree, no lights, no christmas dinner. Our dog just died and it feels too sad at the moment ( no kids and he was our world)

I work in retail and its actually been so nice to escape christmas when I get home and makes work so much less stressful.

We are going to do a Chinese hotpot at home instead which is my absolute fave

I'm so very sorry about the loss of your beloved dog and you are doing the right thing by opting out of all the Christmas hype.

I was watching Laura Meacham the other day. The Range asked her to do something crafty, so she invited her friends round for a crafting session and they painted some individual houses.
This inspired me to get one from The Range to paint myself. I've always wanted to have a go at this, but never knew what to do.
Something to look forward to doing on a boring day.

Chinese hot pot (huǒguō) is a communal, interactive meal where diners cook thinly sliced meats, seafood, vegetables, tofu, and noodles in a simmering pot of flavored broth at the center of the table, similar to fondue but with soup, and then dip the cooked items in personalized sauces. It's a social, fun experience popular in China and worldwide, known for its variety, healthiness, and cozy atmosphere, with broths ranging from spicy Sichuan to mild herbal versions

We used to go to a restaurant in Manchester for it call but do our own at home now and its fit !

Does anyone else feel the main thing missing during British Xmas time is the snow? We never get snow in the build up to or during Xmas do we. When was the last time it snowed close to or during xmas in this country?

Have started bit by bit doing the shopping and put decorations up on Saturday (don't like them up for too long, a few weeks is fine), it's starting to feel very Christmassy now.

And the first year I spent with my then boyfriend now husband 2009 was freezing and snowing I remember because it was like boxing day and we walked to blockbusters to get some wii games because I had got just dance 2 and wii sports and we needed nunchucks

Guys what should I do? I've ordered my daughter volume 3 of Heartstopper,and they've sent me volumes 1 to 5? This is Amazon btw. I've only been charged for the 1 book

Christmas Bonus or you could just tell them depending on how much it'd cost them to return they might say keep.

I actually had them do that to me earlier with some rhinestone ribbon as description says you get 4 rolls but I got 1

It's pretty heavy and the set is £40 on there. I only paid £6.50! I'm going to email and see what they say.
