Right I’m here. I’m 10 days earlier than usual but with all the crap that’s been going on in the last few months (globally, internally etc) I do not give a monkeys that it’s November and if it gives you joy so be it!

I made coffee and croissants while the flurries of snow temporarily came down, listened to Dean Martin and sang around the kitchen. That’s my hit of dopamine for the day!

Hope you are all having a good week 🎶 🎄 ❄

My tree is up 🥰 first year my little girl was able to ‘help’ me decorate it and it was the cutest thing ever I actually shed a tear thinking what a core memory we are making. Need to do the outside lights but not in this atrocious weather!

Me and my friend at work have decided to start working our way through the festive sandwich meal deals. This week (we only go in the office once a week) we did Tesco and we got the finest turkey BLT and the Christmas dinner wrap. We split them 50/50 so we get to try both. We both agreed that the finest turkey BLT was the best in this round and would get it again!

Had my first Christmas sandwich yesterday! The M&S Christmas club 😋

I also bought a new car yesterday and one of the things I most excited about is it having a dab radio and I’ll be able to get the Christmas radio stations 😂 my current/old car is 15 years old and still had an AM/FM radio and mostly played static.

Cannot confirm or deny that this is the second bag in a fortnight that I may or may not have bought

Can confirm the second pair of christmas pjs has brought me such an inordinate amount of joy that it's melted ice hub's heart and he's actually agreed to let me buy him a MATCHING PAIR (it has a fucking teddy on it) to wear with me and toddler on Christmas, I nearly dropped dead of shock, he won't let me post a photo but I'm taking any win I can :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I’ve just realised that when you talk about doing your Christmas shopping you’re all actually going into shops and mingling with the other maniacs people who like Christmas, instead of sitting on your sofa and Googling.
I’m “working from home” today, so I’ve decided the best use of my time is to actually do some ordering. You’re going to be so proud of me. 🎄

We can't have presents under the tree cause the toddler will open them all so I've bought some big glittery light up fake ones from Temu. Pray for me I don't burn the house down for Christmas.

I have found some lovely things in charity shops this month for Christmas gifts.
I found two Emma Bridgewater Christmas mugs for £4 each and having checked online the design goes for £25 on eBay.
A lovely marks and Spencers outdoor plaque that has an outdoor lavender theme for my MIL who loves gardening.
Loads of items for my 2 year old, specifically happy land toys and books.

I'm having a day out next month to get the rest of the Xmas shopping done, but I'm really pleased with the charity shop bargains I've found this year.

Its taken me a while but I have finally gathered a Christmas booklet from each and every supermarket within a 5 mile radius. I'm going to sit tonight and read them all with a glass of wine 🍷.

I have seen this before but it brought me out in a cold sweat thinking about all the questions I would get from the kids (although they are too old now!) - it was bad enough when I did a Father Christmas footprint one year! “How did they get there, is it snow, why isn’t it melting then, how come he didn’t leave footprints anywhere else, do we clean it up or does it disappear, can we touch it…” I don’t bloody know, it’s just magic ok?! 🤫

My daughter’s Father Christmas letter arrived yesterday. I was going to save it to give to her on the 1st December with her Christmas pjs, advent calendar and tonies countdown figure but she beat me to the post 😂 After I read it to her, she was hugging it saying ‘I can’t believe Father Christmas wrote me a letter again’ 🥰

Putting my tree up on the 16th November. Partner goes Tenerife that weekend for his mates 40th so I’ve told the kids while he’s out there having fun we can have ours with putting the tree up and ordering a takeaway with a movie on 🥰

Im not going to lie, they look lovely.
However, ITS STILL NOVEMBER!
Thank you :)

My excuse is I'm away this weekend, not home until Monday and next weekend I'm out on our family pub crawl all day Saturday meaning I willbe horizontal on the sofa all day Sunday so I have no other time to do it (that is what I'm telling myself!) - plus we go on holiday on the 2nd January so the tree's will be down around the 27th December to get the house back to normality before we go - want to make the most of it. I just love fairy lights 🤣

Quite. My husband is the problem but his family don’t want a direct relationship with me, I’ve tried.
things like setting up a family whats app, MIL deleted the app. SIL left the chat. Daughters just ignored it, was like tumbleweed.
Message them but find they’ve changed number and not told me etc.
it’s a very awkward family dynamic that I’m really not trying to take personally. He has 2 adult daughters that refer to me if they have to as my dad’s wife, usually they ignore me. I’ve been with him 14 years and married for 12, we weren’t the reason he split from his previous wife but this moan is probably for a different thread and not one to derail our happy Christmas thoughts
Couldn’t read and not reply to this sorry for off topic - but fuck em. You’ve got your gorgeous toddler to fill your cups with love and vice versa, more fool anyone that chooses to opt out of that joy. Have a wonderful Christmas with your lovely family and fuck the rest.

Petty but defo don’t take any bulky shite in off that lot either 😂
