Yep, late to the party.... and wish I hadn't bloody bothered.

Tony's Chocolonely - the Toblerone rip off one - yellow packet.

Utter shite.

1. What the fuck is the odd sized shaped bits all about - it ain't quirky - its just bollocks and it ripped the roof of my mouth to bits and I can bite a big Toblerone chunk by chunk.
2. Mediocre chocolate - like others have probably said - cheap supermarket own brand vibes.
3. Why do folk rave over it - sister in law and niece think its the dogs danglys - that should have given me warning signs. It was her fucking fault I got sucked in as I bumped into her shopping and it was £2.50 on the Nectar thing in Sainsburys.

I now wish I'd gone for a box of Maltesers like my choccy fancying brain was preying on!?!

Yeah, the eco/caring bollocks is all well and good but in reality the product has to be shite to satisfy that goal - it'll have to slide lower on the quality side or go up in price as cocoa prices are on the rise again, yet these bars seem to stay at just above the 'normal' chocolate bar prices in supermarkets - I notice they are always well stocked compared to more mainstream bars. Has the gloss come off as more folk have given it a go and realised its mediocre at best.

What advent calendar do we all want!? I don’t really get fancy ones like make up or beauty ones, I just like the chocolate ones 🤣 I have my eye on the Colin the caterpillar one from m&s

saw a sign for these in big Tesco the other day tried to find them but the stand only had orange and mint so I’m assuming they haven’t had them in yet. But I love anything coffee flavoured and you don’t tend to get too many coffee chocolates on the shelves so can’t wait to try them.

That looks lovely but it also seems it would be quite sickly sweet.

I love the Lidl whole hazelnut bars they’re amazing. I got introduced them in Germany they’re called Nussbeisser in German aldis I believe. I also love the brownie rittersport and mousse one, but very luscious you can only eat one or two squares.

The Chocolate Society produces good quality fare. It has a shop in Elizabeth St in London. You can receive a box of chocolate every month if you sign up for it. £40 per month if I remember correctly. There are seconds which are available regularly. It is good stuff. I've never had the box though.
Valrona chocolate is supposed to be one of the best. It is often itemised as an ingredient in chocolate type puddings in very high end restaurants.
Godiva chocolates are highly rated, as are Prestat, Montezuema and Leonidas. Cocoba specialises in hot chocolate as well as the bags of chocolate covered orange peel and nuts.
My husband swears by Montezuema dark chocolate buttons and is never without them. He loves the Prestat prunes covered with dark chocolate. Leonidas produces beautiful creamy Belgian chocolates.
I love all this type of chocolate as well as the cheap stuff. It's all delicious.
