I’m really struggling at the moment. My ocd and anxiety have become completely unmanageable, there’s a lot going on with my mum and sister at the moment and work is awful, I honestly feel like they might sack me at any moment. And then I got a WhatsApp status update notification this morning that my ex changed his picture to a photo of him and his new girlfriend and it broke me. I feel like I’ve been kicked in the stomach. I can’t cope with feeling like this anymore.

oh @BelleAmie I am so sorry you’re having such a tough time right now. We’re always here if you ever need a rant, moan, chat, talk about anything! Have you thought about speaking to your work about everything you have going on, just so they’re aware and at least then they’ll know the reason if you’re not yourself. With regard to your ex - heartbreak is one of the worst feelings in the world and it feels like everything is closing in around you but I promise it DOES get easier. One day you’ll look back and wonder why you ever cared, and you’ll have someone special who is perfect for you I promise. I know it probably feels impossibly hard, but maybe blocking him is the best thing right now. Sending love your way xxxxxx

@Belle Amie I am sorry you are struggling so much right now. Have you ever had therapy for your ocd? Exposure is hard when you are struggling but in the long run it could offer you some relief. Or distraction, when you get that urge can you remove yourself from the situation; perhaps go into your garden/put your hands under running water/look around you and find 10 blue things/listen to a meditation/come to this thread and post? Anything really. I'm probably telling you stuff you already know. Though I know when you are struggling it is hard to remember those skills, perhaps write a list of things you can do when you have a thought/compulsion/obsession. Then when you are feeling bad you can grab that list and work your way down the list. I know distraction is really hard and when you are in the middle of it. But it does help in the long term. You could build up 5 minutes of distraction and then seeing if you still feel that same way and be to act on your compulsion/obsession. Then you could build up time. OCD is hard and ask often misunderstood, but do keep talking to us, there is always someone here with a kind word and I am sure when you are in the middle of struggling someone will be here.

How well do you get on with your manager at work? Are you able to share with them how you are feeling? Maybe they can ease your work load? Do you have a good GP can you talk to them?

Sorry for a hundred questions. Try to remember this feeling is temporary and it will pass, you won't always feel this way. I am sorry you are having a tough time right now. We are always here though, it takes a lot of courage to say "I am not ok" . But we are always here.

Could you block your ex so you aren't aware? Or delete (archive it if you want) so you aren't seeing it. A relationship ending is always hard. But you don't deserve to torture yourself when he changes a photo or a status. One day you will look back and wonder why you cared so much about what he was doing.

Hanky panky pie was a chocolatey mousse biscuity pudding that dominoes used to do back in the day it was lovely.

Sports day to go to this morning and then a meeting with the teacher about mini bored later plus work in between so my brain is frazzled this morning.

I’m going to Lidl bakery for the first time today! I don’t really like Lidl tbh much more of an Aldi gal myself but I’ve got major FOMO from everyone chatting about the bakery 😂 gonna get a brownie to have with my lunch I think! Have a good day everyone

I have lots of physio today. Something happened at the end of last week, I had tingling all over my body. Then I could move my legs a little bit. Yesterday in physio I was able to roll over in bed, I could lift both my legs and do all the exercises. They told me I would not regain feeling in my legs, that the damage in my spinal cord was complete. I told them nope, I will walk.

I haven't felt my legs for almost a year, the muscles are very weak, but I am proving them wrong every day. The physio cried yesterday because I could move.

It is a bit like groundhog day here. We are getting lasagne for lunch today so I am excited for that.

Hope everyone has lovely days, the sun is shining here and the sky is bright blue with not a cloud in sight. That always cheers me up.

Morning, I’m so tired I went to sleep quite late, puppy fudge has her jabs later so I’m finishing work early, can’t wait for a nap 😴

I have definitely woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning 🤣🤣 I literally just slammed my keyboard because I kept getting the password wrong to my nhs email address 😂 totally just my fault. I literally sat there and was like ‘what are you doing calm tf down’ 😂😂
I got an email from turtle bay giving me a £10 gift as it’s my bday Thursday.. which is nice. So something positive I guess lol.

I’m just leaving now to go to my friends before b&m and possibly home bargains too (never been there either) I will let you all know what I think / buy!
