It is a lie, maybe not an important one in the grand scheme of things, but I just hate how she can get away with being so shitty to people who care about her (yes, parasocially) and line her pockets, then backtrack and play ignorant so her video looked more dramatic. It really boils my piss!

Agreed, a lot of those people that really like her are young some even children. someone should put it all on YouTube and keep reposting it every time she deletes it

This is my comment, "I run two businesses and it's hard work. It's no good saying you're tired, unmotivated etc because you need to eat. It's just me, no project managers, just have to pull your finger out and earn your rest time".

If this is what an average day is like for her I don't know how she's so drained and tired all the time.

I don’t think the Cherry money train will last much longer. Her channel is already struggling (less subscription boxes these days and she’s having to make other videos that aren’t so great) and she’s a one trick pony. But if she was financially savvy all along then she has enough cash put away to set herself up with a small enough mortgage and just work a real job to keep herself afloat.
(imagine her trying to work a real job, when she finds editing a few videos a month to be exhausting!)

Just looked at the comments in her latest yawn video and this is the answer she gave to someone asking when the shop will have something to sell.
"I have no current plans to reopen this year, maybe in 2023 - but I'll be a lot more 'small business' and independently run. TDLR: It'll reopen when it's ready and when I'm ready"

she says she has lots of these types of disorders but if it's undiagnosed then how can you be sure. She said back along she has Dermatophagia and I'm pretty sure she hasn't although you can't be sure of course. I know someone with it and they bite at their skin particularly on the hands and bite their nails down until they bleed, it's a horrible thing to have.

I would be really interested to know what parts of what JK has said that Cherry disagrees with, particularly as she is clearly a devoted fan.

I would be surprised if she had actually read the essay. I imagine she's seen some headlines, seen what other influencers have had to say, then made her own very vague, blanket statement so as not to offend anyone. Seems a bit like the recent BLM issues, in that influencers who have never had been personally affected by racism/transphobia/homophobia etc. just throw out a nice little tweet or Instagram story, vaguely condemning the problem, then never mentioning it again. Shame they won't take a little time to educate themselves and actually use their platform in a constructive way. I suppose I'm generalising; I'm sure (at least I hope) some influencers actually have reacted appropriately to all the recent goings-on.

I’m actually wondering if this is a good Segway into her moving away from HP content. This was she can do it looking like an ultra good person (look my values are so amazing I’m giving less support to something I love), and also not addressing the fact she’s just generally been a bit over it recently but still wanted to make money from YouTube.

What do you think she could move on to? I do think her make-up looks fantastic so maybe that? I don't think she has the personality to vlog. Maybe she'll become a Disney nut, a la Brummy Mummy of 2.

Sorry but the amount she paid for her tree it looks awful and cheap!! It’s so gappy! Also showing off she’s just spent over £200 on a bag which I doubt she’ll use!! Makes me laugh when she said she never treats herself!

I don't really get all this influencer stuff, I think it's bad for young people but that's just my old fogey opinion.

Its worth doing it because even though it’s such a little thing it just makes the wizard in world feel so much more immersive. If you search up the wizarding world website you should find the quiz on there.

I’m an influencer myself but on a small scale. I don’t think it’s a bad thing but it can be a bad thing. Some people can bring a positive influence others a bad and rather negative one. There are a handful of influencers I like I’m very picky though. It’s hard to find genuine people with good intentions that are not sell outs. I find that the smaller more niche influences to be a lot more relatable.

Cherry probably makes thousands a month from YouTube alone not including her business and sponsorships. She gets way more money making content than she would as a teacher which is what she wanted to be. A lot of big influencers live very privileged lifestyles.

To be fair, his box was disappointing. I've been a huge HP fan for over 20 years, I got the references and all, but didn't care for the items.

We can def. agree to disagree on that. I didnt think It was, but, I do think it is more for a niche collector. But her attitude about it and lack of any understanding was disgusting. Especially when she got mad when others trashed her boxes.

This influencing seems a pretty strange and lonely life to me.
Cherry says she has anxiety problems but can do that film thing, comic con thing the other week, and all that, but can people with anxiety problems do those things?
I'm not belittling it or saying she doesn't have these issues and maybe you could live this life while having these problems.
I think it must be a lot of time spent on your own, making videos for a living, and you live inside your head too much.
