It's not that I disagree/agree with homeschooling or even choosing to keep your kids home during a pandemic. It's the fact that Corrinna made that choice due to the risks involved and avoiding same, get has stayed in at least five different establishments since June 7th, kids are being brought around left, right and centre. A lot of trips happened before Corrinna fully vaccinated too....it just doesn't add up imo
It’s hardly been hopping anywhere they have been though. It’s been mostly weekdays when everyone else is in school when away with her kids & the hotel restaurants are quiet at the moment even at weekends so there wasn’t much risk being away with her sister. It might be a different story when the schools close & everyone heads away.
it looked like they were the only people in Donegal & Kerry!

Disagree, Ellegee, if you are making the huge decision to keep your children home from school due to Covid risk; you will not stay in at least 4 different hotels over 2 weekends. The Dublin hotels were fairly busy the opening weekend, it doesn't make sense to me.

I hope Covid got the memo re: weekdays vs weekends

The teens would be missing a huge amount academically though, nevermind socially. Day trips to museums are fun but won't help you pass exams or assessments, particularly in 2nd level. Maths, English and science are such important subjects.

I actually think it’s disgraceful. They are missing out on so much and she can dress it up whatever way she wants. They will struggle even socially by the time they get back if they do go back.

ah sure I’d say her thinking is that they interact and have a great time with each other… don’t think she ever thinks or sees the long term implications of it all.

In general though, would you say the same against homeschoolers? I don’t see a difference from a social point of view
How would you not see a difference? School is not just about text book learning. It’s about interacting with peers and different adults (teachers).

Ah come on!! Sitting at home with your ma is the same as spending the day with 20 kids your own age?? 🙄

Homeschooling is a massive undertaking for the parents that do it.
Hats off to them, no way could I do it
It involves a lot of meticulous planning and time taken by parents to plan the day out for subjects ..careful to include social /emotional aspects as well as science maths English languages etc
Interaction with peers ( not feeding your baby brother and changing nappies) would be a huge part of homeschooling

Chipping in to family life is great for kids but it’s not homeschooling
But she says herself she is not homeschooling them so this whole conversation has nothing to do with the Insta mam in question

She was obviously right to remove her kids from the bullying kids in the schools with bad management
Any parent would

Jollying around the country in various hotels is a risk for Covid in a pandemic
When you take your kids out of school because of Covid?

Homeschooling might be fine for young primary children but I think teenagers need to go to school for academic and social reasons. Corrina should do more to protect their privacy.

Yes, 're the privacy issue- if you are constantly parading your kids on Insta you are definitely increasing their risk of being targeted/bullied in school; yet another Corrinna contradiction

I really hope corrina does what she did witb mount falcon last year and gives the price of each of the excursions they are doing on their holiday. It looks like all of the activities have been gifted so it's not really a realistic portrayal of what it's like to bring a large family away in Ireland 🤷‍♀️

It goes against any logic to have your kids out of school but fine for them to go to different corners of the country not to mention her own individual trips away!! Please also be aware that the bullying situation was not what she crafted it to look like on her stories, this is a woman who is desperate for attention and content and doesn’t seem to mind that she uses her children to get it!

She's still going on about cellar dwellers....
She could do with taking her own advice and stop letting whatever people say about her bother her. Just a thought..
