I'm still shocked Dan is ok with all this, but maybe he makes or contributes way less than Amie and therefore feels like he has no say over their household expenses?
i think Dan plays along with the Ikea showroom monstrosity because Amie’s newbie fans eat it up so he sees it as a necessity as part of her branding. it’s probably not so much a question of who earns more because i think Dan is very invested in Amie’s business - from memory he was the one who suggested she start the channel in the first place. it would be so hilarious to watch their interactions (probably limited to content meetings) if it turns out Dan is a total stage mum 😂🤣

I wouldn't even live in Amie's Ikea/pinterest apartment with the fake silk flowers and random clutter that's supposed to appear "luxe," and I'm a woman!
I wouldn’t wanna live in Amie’s home either (and I’m also a woman). Her home is just so so fake. It may look oh so tidy and picture perfect but things have been organised and rearranged to make a good photo. I doubt she’s got 6-7 of the same faux flower arrangements in different rooms as that would just be plain dumb, so she uses pretty much the same soft furnishings for every picture which means the rooms are, in reality, not reflective of her actual living situation. Her life is one big fake impression.
I imagine she’s happy to keep up appearances as she gets paid from ads etc. but I can’t imagine she’s paid much. Other IGers have been getting freebies from Dior, Sky, Givenchy - and all Amie can manage is freebies from Reiss and an ad for MyTheresa. So much for her ‘luxe’ life....

That's a really great way of putting it! Her room just seems super showroom-esque and not in a good way. It doesn't look like anyone lives there and seems like a house filled with staging furniture and temporary, non-distinct decor for open houses.

Amie definitely attracts some fans and loyal viewership, but her style is pretty limited, and she's unlikely to become super popular. Her style isn't bad but it's not fashionable, and she won't really attract viewers who don't like the ultra traditionally feminine, pastel aesthetic so I don't think she'll get those really good designer sponsorships.

I always forget how supportive he is about the whole thing even though he doesn't seem to get her obsession with buying the same thing in ten different shades of pink. But good for them! I can't imagine what it's like to date a youtuber/influencer and it's nice he's a supportive partner. He definitely helps her create some content as well.

I really think she is lying about her brother gifting her that Chanel. I would never give anyone I know - friends or family something that expensive as a gift unless they need help with money as such. Nor would any sensible person I know do this. She bought it herself and she knows she has over saturated the Chanel bag aspect in her life and if she got another it wouldn’t sit very well with most of her audience.
Dan on the other hand has always supported her with this mainly because it might be getting them good income and she has herself stated before that both of them are very into business regardless of what business it is. She literally said in a video about money or a Q&A that she doesn’t care if she is selling luxury hotels or something less expensive , she only cares about the process and not the item since it’s all the same in to her in any business.
I agree about her house being try hard cheap Pinterest. I absolutely hate it! For me decorating a house is very personal and it should somehow reflect your personality, have some character. It should be warm and inviting. Amie’s decor is anything but this. She’s like a sales girl in an ikea showroom.

I haven’t watched Amie regularly for years but I wouldn’t be shocked if her brother bought her a Chanel bag. It’s not that strange of an idea to me and I’m not even a YouTuber, and I’ve received similar things from family. And from what I remember, her brother always bought her nice things even in the very early days of her channel, when she still had mostly secondhand Chanel, and it was often things that she said was too expensive or a splurge. I’m sure he knows that she’s now a full time influencer and how stuff like this would look good for her channel and help with content creation. I think they’re just a family that enjoys gift giving. You also see it with Fleur De Force. Amie is nowhere near Fleur’s level but I can see Amie getting a Chanel bag from her brother who seems to make good money while Fleur gets a house and acres of land or a kitchen renovation from her family.

For me Amie and Fleur are from different worlds. I can believe Fleur being gifted Chanel bags , diamonds and what not but never Amie. Her brother has given her nice things but have they even been in a range close to a Chanel bag? I would love to be corrected if I’m wrong. Fleur’s entire family and her husband’s family as well are trust fund rich. Everytime Amie has been gifted a bag it’s always part contribution from her mom, Dan and her.

I know people here don’t like Amie and I’m not a fan either but a small Chanel bag isn’t that unaffordable for people with good incomes and you don’t need to be Fleur wealthy to afford or receive that from family. These people are also in their 30-40s. I don’t see why Amie would lie here that’s all. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I see Chanel bags and almost every other designer (except Hermes & the obscure brands) being worn casually daily. I've even seen Chanel bags worn to grocery shops and to casual restaurants. It's area/circle independent. I wear my classic flaps casually too 🤷‍♀️

You don't need to be Fleurdeforce multi-millionaire/country estate rich to buy or gift Chanel bags.I don't think she's lying about her brother gifting her a Chanel bag. She probably did him a massive favour and she wouldn't accept money from him so he thanked her with a bag.

My parents would never give me a luxury bag (and they're upper middle class) - they did pay a lot for my education though. I wouldn't buy it for my children either or anyone else (friends and family either). Maybe if I were really rich enough, made enough of my own money and paid off my mortgage and other needs, I'd consider it though for myself.

I could be totally wrong, but I think you see more Chanel bags in rich suburbs/ritzy small towns like Palo Alto, Orange County, or outside Dallas. Places where people have lots of money but are more concerned with typical signifiers of luxury than actual fashion. You would never see someone walking down the street in San Francisco wearing rock studs, for instance; that person would be instantly pegged as a tourist. I've rarely seen someone carrying a Chanel bag in my city, or other big cities I've visited (or I could just be running with a different crowd, which I'm very okay with!); unless you are a very rich, mature lady, it looks gauche and out of place.
I’m in SF. You won’t see a lot of designer heels in SF because the sidewalks tear the heck out of your shoes. I only wear stilettos to/from nice dinners and events. I do rock my bags everywhere I go tho. As a collector, it’s fun to see what other fashion people are wearing around the city. I see a lot of Hermes, Chanel, old Celine, and YSL in my neck of the woods. I enjoy seeing what other people are wearing and enjoying.

Yes, even in London you don’t see much in the way of heels anymore aside from when attending really fancy events. Everyone is in sneakers or ballet flats even when out at night. Dressing up to the nines for nights out is not really in anymore even pre covid; people just seem to have settled more into comfy and yet stylish clothes. People wear a lot more designer clothing especially Balenciaga and Balman not to mention coats from Moncler and Canada Goose. I think the availability of so much more choice and influencers showcasing uber cool dressing have helped set this trend.

Idk I think she looks cute. The ramen hair not so much though. She should def try a different color other then beige or pale pink.

She looks way older than she is (think she’s in her early 30s?), face is bloated and hair is terribly unflattering. Given her lack of ideas she prob has no idea how to update her look.

I'm confused about her "how I store my luxury bags" video. It almost just feels like she's defending her reasoning for storing her stuff out like that instead of sharing tips.

If she likes keeping everything out she should just say that. I think I've seen other people have the shelves like that but they have blackout curtains for the room or to go over the shelves when they aren't in the room.

Her face does look a lot more full here. Do we think she's gotten work done? Her chin seems uneven to me and I wonder if she got filler or something and it is wearing off? Maybe I'm just focusing on it bc she looks a lot different than I remeber.

I think she's cute but agree that she doesn't know how to update her hair or her thumbnail expressions. It's either a DERRRRP or incredibly manic face.

she wears far too much makeup for her age and lifestyle (mid 30s, suburban, work from home). i think thats what makes her look manic(?)

a more natural makeup look has been in style for quite awhile now but Amie is stuck in 2009 excess era.

Another post about a luxury sale. That’s all she’s good for, not that any of the items featured are inspiring. Givenchy Antigona bag, Chloe Marcie, pink heels etc It’s the same old tit year in, year out. I don’t know why she bothers producing new blogs. People following her surely must be getting tired of the same stuff.
The vlog about looking after her lux bags was pure bull. Drawing a sheer, cheap piece of voile across the window isn’t going to help block out the sun - does she not know that the sun’s rays are reflected back from all the walls in the room?! And how thin is that voile ?? She’s as stupid as she looks.

Chase Amie's weight fluctuates a lot. I think it makes a difference.
Agree. Some of her spray on jeans are so tight I call them camel toe jeans.
