Yes, exactly that, I assumed she had a massive dvd or vinyl collection to store in that unit. Which I can totally understand someone with big collections needing or wanting that kind of set up. Not to fill with junk ornaments and books never to be opened. I’d sooner have the blank wall and save the effort of dusting it!

I find it so weird that she bought bookshelves/storage and is buying stuff to fill it. I usually only buy storage for stuff I already have like books, records etc. I wouldn't buy a piece of furniture and fill it with decorative items

Don’t forget she’s going to get a ladder so she can rearrange stuff on the media unit - coffee table books to swap places with gold balls 🙄 It’s so pretentious.

They're ruining that house, ripping up brand new carpets, poorly installing cheap looking shelving units.

So counterintuitive when you supposedly buy a new build to save money.. but that’s what happens when you don’t do enough research or think about how the house is going to work. 🙄 By reading comments on her house IG, I’m honestly wondering how their logic is. So many things, from their washer to a part of the ladder in the media unit, had to be sent back because they didn’t fit. And she didn’t even know kind of countertops she had. “Oh I’m sure the builder knows.” You pale pink beige Shnell dolt. You ask these kind of questions for maintenance before you buy a house. Not to mention three floors?? I’m tired from chasing my toddler with just two.

Someone found the listing to their house. It’s a new build, so new in fact some doors weren’t installed for some reason.

she has posted a pic on instagram of her “entertainment unit” filled with useless items.

if she was showcasing artefacts or souvenirs she had collected from travels, life events or genuine lifestyle interests such as artwork, well-read books or a music collection, one could justify making the wall unit a focal point... but then i guess that would be expecting too much from a woman who shops all day and travels abroad just to shop. the items she has chosen to “showcase” just looks like stuff she bought out of an online catalogue.

that’s Amie Rogers summed up- store-bought, no style, no substance.

I have only heard of having ladders for bookshelves, not for rearranging your random baskets, fake apples, or balls on different shelves. She said she hasn't brought out their books out of boxes yet. I don't know why she acts like she reads. Her previous vlogs where she tried to review books were laughable. "It's just the best book", but she never mentions WHY.

Her home has yet to show any sort of hobby she has (besides shopping) or personality. Her channel should be called 50 Shades of Beige or Pale Pink.

I've seen this executed really well in other homes but this just looks like random clutter on those shelves and the ladder and rail (??!) across the unit looks random. Amie's lack of personality strikes again!

oof that actually makes a lot of sense -- like nothing is cultured about that setup or gives any insight into the person who lives there. It looks like IKEA advertising the unit but doesn't look like a HOME

Also question: I have been commenting on this thread and others, but am still not allowed to create my own yet, what are the rules on that?

OMG. It is my first time seeing this unit.
I read about previous comments on the unit and the ladder so I was picturing a set of massive and tall library type of book shelves in my head. Because that is the only way when the existence of ladder makes sense.
But this unit with a ladder?? It is way too small for a ladder .

I was just watching Elle Florence's handbag collection video (YouTube Link if interested). Watching her describe exactly why she loves each bag, how she cares for them to ensure they stay looking perfect and brand new is so refreshing!
You can completely tell her classic style, and near the start of the video she describes how she only owns one Chanel wallet on a chain because she bought one, uses it all the time and has just never felt the need to buy another - - Amie could never!

i’d be careful- Elle Florence has a few threads on here and she seems like a complete and utter whackjob. dare i say atleast our dear Amie is “sane”. my only gripe with Amie is that she clearly has a bad shopping addiction and that she is trying to pass off her life of excessive/shallow consumption as “aspirational” which can negatively influence naive viewers.

they’re both “faux influencers” but Amie has her family and husband grounding her to reality. Elle appears to be fumbling through life deluding herself into believing she is an affluent one of a kind European Princess-which she is NOT. Amie atleast knows where she comes from and acknowledges that she hustles for everything she has.

Elle has just as bad of a shopping habit as Aime. At least Aime pays for it with her own money. Elle hasn't been regularly employed for a year and a half. Her mom funds her lifestyle . As much as Aime annoys and bores me, at least she's buying stuff with her own money it is clearly much less weird than the stuff Elle buys. (The plastic woven rainbow boy bag comes to mind)

Elle is a vapid human being and scam artist. Please go spend time on her thread. There are much stronger YT’ers who give incredible luxury reviews: Emma Anderson, Jerusha Couture, Purseonfleek, Lexury95, etc. Her style isn’t classic, it’s granny chic at best.

Elle Florence is a scammer who lies and takes advantage of her subscribers (she was even scamming Seattle locals at the beginning of the pandemic through the Daily Hive but got caught).

Her handbag collection is also terrible and she buys really weird things in garish styles that nobody wants from consignment sites at a heavy discount but brags about it being Chanel. Our Amie has many problems but at least Amie’s boring handbag collection consists of the usual Chanel fare in inoffensive colors and styles that anyone can wear. Elle buys a plastic covered green and blue Chanel boy at 70% off on consignment three years after the bag came out and brags about how classy it is, like her. 🙄

She also takes advantage of men and her mother to pay for everything but pretends it’s because she’s a practicing lawyer when she was an entry level fraud investigator for years and has been unemployed for a really long time. She also lied to her viewers about all her plastic surgery and deletes comments that call her out for her scamming and photoshopping.
