This could be! I’m not seeing as much as before. And I spotted that What Olivia Did had sold her gifted Magic Serum on eBay before it was even released. She was another big CT fan so it surprised me to see that.I really do wonder if CT has fallen slightly out of favour.
Brands like this get bought because it’s venture capitalists who make the decision based off of valuations / industry growth / financial performance measures and nothing else. If they were doing well selling you shit in a tube they’d still get snapped up. I’d imagine literally no one in those M&A departments or meetings has once discussed products / sustainability / brand ethos beyond their top sellers listingsIt is shocking that a company so rotten can be worth so much. A lot of people, including influencers and beauty writers/columnists, willing to look the other way for £££
I recommend you watch Dr Dray a licensed dermatologist on youtube or learn to read ingredients lists and you'll see how much she's ripping off her customers, it might have short term benefits like smelling nice or making your skin look glow-y but they're highly irritable and have really shit ingredients for such a high price point! she's just benefitting off the "Reputation" of her brand. Dermatologist's and aestheticians definitely do not recommend her skin care productsI think the skincare is better than the make-up. I heard from a make-up artist friend that it’s actually created with/by a facialist who was unhappy about not being credited enough.
Like all of her line, it is ridiculously overpriced but I like the clay mask and beauty balm/4 in 1 thing.
I find the make-up hit or miss. I like the Dolce Vita (although I believe it has been renamed the Bella Sofia after her nieces) and original Pillow Talk eyeshadow palettes. Not impressed by the concealer or foundation.
Thank you for recommending Dr Dray, I hadn't heard of her but can't wait to watch the rest of her videos. She's very good and it's so great to hear a dermatologist's informed thoughts and advice!I recommend you watch Dr Dray a licensed dermatologist on youtube or learn to read ingredients lists and you'll see how much she's ripping off her customers, it might have short term benefits like smelling nice or making your skin look glow-y but they're highly irritable and have really shit ingredients for such a high price point! she's just benefitting off the "Reputation" of her brand. I must check them out! Some skincare seems to be such a rip off. A lot of people say that the magic cream is just expensive niveaThank you for recommending Dr Dray, I hadn't heard of her but can't wait to watch the rest of her videos. the Hollywood Flawless filter gave me terrible break out on a special birthday too when I was out for a meal with friends came out in terrible spots about 3-4 hours after putting it on!Her make up is not my cup of tea, and her magic cream moisturizer made me break out.
Not a fan and I cannot understand the hype
Here you go.Can you link the Actually honest thread? I’ve tried to search it.
Love this! There definitely is...it’s becoming like the fast fashion industryThat 'Goddess Cleansing Ritual' duo made me break outI'm still red and I wish I'd never used it!
I've never had any problems with the Magic Cream, but I'm thinking I'll stop using it as well. Really enjoying Dr Dray's videos about skincare and I'm going to adopt a simpler approach in my own routine. So much BS in the beauty industry!
It really is, having us believe you need to use all these different products, and all the lies about what they do, such a money spinner. I love Dr Dray's no-nonsense straight talk, she's not afraid to drag these companies/products! Really like her, thank you for telling me about her channel! I've noticed how skinny she is though and I hope she's ok.Love this! There definitely is...it’s becoming like the fast fashion industry
Signed! lets hope for changeEstee Laundry have set up a petition: https://tattle.life/threads/19920/
I’m not convinced a petition will change much in this instance but it certainly can’t hurt and it only takes 30 seconds to sign.
