After LW making the panel all inclusive, Charlene now appears to want to make it divisive between the black panelists and the whites. Thankfully, JSP has got her number and won't let her away with it whilst she is on. Please LW get rid of Charlene as the anchor she is not right!!!

So superficially she annoys me when she talks she always sounds out of breath. It’s really off putting.

For me the refusal to wear a poppy was the final straw, how disrespectful particularly being on tv she should wear it proudly. If it’s a race thing, surely she’s aware 15,000 African soldiers died bravely fighting with our country.

She seems to want to divide blacks and whites and talk as though we are two different species. Always wanting to put a whites down and playing the victim. I don’t see a difference in colour of skin, apparently this is wrong. 🤷🏼‍♀️

She is so annoying now she comes back from the break giggling at some ‘in’ joke they were all laughing at. A lot of fake laughing and over egging how close she is to all the other loose women Seeing Jane Moore’s reaction to her when she almost accused Jane of being racist I don’t think that’s the case.

Honestly she needs to go.

"I make a judgement when I travel in a way that you (a white woman) won't have to Janet." So, is she saying there is no racism towards white people? Because I can assure you there is. I know a girl with Jamaican grandparents who says that there are groups of people in Jamaica who will shoot white people if they encounter them. So, I think Janet would definitely have to consider racism if she were to go travelling. I am not denying that black people experience racism when travelling, it's awful and it shouldn't be that way. But, Charlene has no right making assumptions about racism towards white people and denying that it exists because it absolutely does. Basically, Janet has been singled out at work because of her race by her team leader which is effectively Charlene as the anchor....I see discrimination.

I don't have a problem with anyone having strong opinions an expressing them strongly. My problem is that Charlene shuts down other people's opinions and stops them from voicing them. The panellists tend to hold back when she is on. There's not a nice atmosphere.

She seems to find grievance very easily. Stick to the news, I'd prefer if she wasn't on Loose Women.

I liked Charlene when she first started LW but not keen anymore for many reasons some of which have already been talked about above.

I am glad Janet pulled her up here:

Thread created after suggestions and comments on Loose Women presenter and News Broadcaster Charlene White started to grow. She has made the death of a colleague's son all about her. She has commented several times on how the black panellists went to comfort the bereaved family but completely ignored the white panellist going to visit. She seems to thrive on confrontation and conflict.

She simultaneously bores me to tears AND boils my piss by just existing. I was shocked when I found out she was married, how dull/desperate/deaf/walking dead must he be?? Living in a house of Charlene fake laughs, tumble weed and regret.

Sorry, I know this is a Charlene thread but something Kelle said yesterday is really bugging me 😏 Kelle said that when TTC her two children she made a plan of the exact dates to try to give her the best odds of her children being born in September as she wanted them to be the oldest in their year and therefore giving them an advantage over their classmates who may have been born later in the academic year. That’s all fine, each to their own, most people are just grateful to be able to get pregnant but… on Monday she said that she was told it was very unlikely that she was ever going to have children because of her Lupus condition. It was only when she had been told that her Lupus was dormant for a short time that she was given the go ahead to try for a baby. Very convenient (and lucky) that her Lupus was dormant at the exact time she needed to be able to time a pregnancy so accurately that BOTH her children were born in September! 🤔😏

Her husband is white and his name is Andy he is from Liverpool my hometown which is shocking to me because us scousers have a personality and sense of humour and charleen is serious boring and lack’s personality unless she is on about her favourite, subject me myself and I also not to forget race I find her hypocritical and divisive and annoying and before anyone says I’m racist am mixed race and from toxteth from multi racial family
I do like JSP very direct savvy and astute made it in her career when it was male dominated

This thread is festering with racism, you would think it's Twitter. Yuck.

Just wait for it....if she gets voted for trials she will say its because she's black...of she doesn't get voted....it will be because she's black and we're racist. She's such an insufferable nob who seems to want to cause as much divide as possible in disguise of 'ending racism' I can't bear the women. Shouts at the other panelists and brings every story regardless of what it....into a race issue. Can she not see what she's doing?.

But you don't call strangers 'Auntie', which the black community tend to do. That's the difference. We love to talk about being everyone being so easily offended, yet someone can't merely state this without being criticised.

Boy George to win. The only real celebrity in there. I’ve never heard of half of them. I’ll be voting Charlene for the trials. Wipe the smug grin off if her face.

She is incredibly divisive. I had hope she would bring a bit of decorum and intellect to the show. How wrong I was.

Well this one who won’t wear a Poppy now throws her support around Phil and trolley dolly Holly.
My husband is black and I am white and we met in the 1970s and suffered awful prejudice. Our daughter and grandchildren are mixed race and I absolutely applaud that we are seeing many more diverse presenters on TV. But I just do not like this woman - she absolutely loves herself and I find her very arrogant and diversive.

I’m the daughter of a WW2 RAF veteran and the mother-in-law of a serving soldier and I am incensed at her refusal to wear a remembrance poppy. Awful woman.

Yes this!!

I thought exactly the same. Why did no one pull her up on that. Such a liar. She’s another one who plays the victim card. Also she doesn’t buy her kids any Christmas presents as she’s says they get enough from family.

I apologise for dragging this thread back from 2023, but this woman irritates me so much that I need somewhere to vent.

Firstly, I had no idea who she was until she appeared on I'm a Celebrity. My immediate impression was that she came across as incredibly rude and argumentative. Now, before anyone jumps on me, I completely agree that Matt Hancock was hardly a sympathetic character, but there were times when she seemed more interested in shutting people down than having a discussion.

What frustrates me most is that whenever someone disagrees with her, she immediately becomes louder and more forceful. It often feels less like a debate and more like, "I'm right, you're wrong, end of discussion." I find it exhausting to watch.

Which brings me to Loose Women. If she's on, I usually switch off. I genuinely find her difficult to listen to because she rarely seems interested in hearing an alternative point of view.

What really baffles me, though, is how she ended up hosting The Talking Royals podcast. Her views on the Royal Family seem fairly obvious to me. She often comes across as sceptical or critical of them, whereas her attitude towards Harry and Meghan feels noticeably warmer. That's entirely her right, of course, but it does make me question whether she's the best fit for a royal discussion programme.

And don't even get me started on the way she reacts whenever Harry and Meghan's children are mentioned. Half the time she seems determined to shut the conversation down before anyone has even finished their sentence. It's as though she's personally responsible for protecting them from public discussion.

It takes quite a lot for a television personality to irritate me, but for some reason she manages it every single time.
I can't help saying what we all think...
she only likes Meghan because she is black.
