Ah stop. That young lad is an absolute clown. What he is putting his poor mother through. However, it could be said that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree !

That's right, Tom Doorley quit because he couldn't get get along with MPW at all!
To be honest I don't blame him. MPW used to patronise and wind him up at every single opportunity.

He would lecture him about food and then best of all he would call Doorley "Thomas", in the same way a parent might address their child Chris "Now, Christopher"

Rory is great, a natural teacher. It's easy seeing he is the head teacher at the cookery school.
He has a great way of showing exactly how something should be done

Any tea of Rachel Khoo? Every time I see her on tv I get really strong mean girl vibes from her. Maybe she’s just got witchy resting face.

Nigel Slater’s ‘Toast’ is a good book, some sad and awkward tales but some extremely hilarious anecdotes. It was televised with Helena Bonham-Carter as his step-Mum. Very good. It was also a theatre production too.

I knew Matt Preston (MasterChef Australia) back in the day. He is known in this house as "the prat in the cravat" for very good reasons.

ETA off to read back after we've eaten!

I hope not as I always thought she seemed lovely. A lot of that probably equals thinking she's hot though!

A few Irish people have mentioned Neven Maguire and I totally agree with all the comments. I stayed at his place and he seemed very warm in the brief chat I had with him. I have never heard anyone say anything else. Rachel Allen on the other hand came across as quite frosty IRL. Admittedly anyone can have a bad day. Her books are a staple though for me along with Jamie and Neven.

No tea, except that she looked incredible on the latest series of GBM. Doesn't look 40

Gregg is like a caricature of himself these days.
Have you seen the one John Torode presents with his wife (I think she's his wife?). It's sickening

Nigel Slater's book about his growing up was made into a TV programme years ago...I can't remember much about it! I think he had quite a strange/hard time.

Edited to add, Toast, that was the name.
I went to see the play of Toast and food was given out as part of the show

Yay I am a huge foodie and love a gossip!! Love cooking shows!
Did anyone watch best places to eat with Fred Sirieix? So good, Rachel Khoo comes across so nice and her food always looks nice. I love great Bristish menu too but cannot stand Oliver Payton. I thought he was gay until I googled him once to see what he actually does other then that show 😂
Love rick stein! His recipes are increidble
Not a fan of Jamie Oliver. The Italian restaurants were just glorified prezzo nothing special at all! And he’s a bit of a plank.
My daughter is on the teen addition of first dates as an extra . She said Fred was lovely and friendly and verrrry good looking

Jamie Oliver might be annoying at times, but there is no doubting his passion for food, or the fact that he has a conscience. All those campaigns he did, no-one made him do it, and he would have saved himself a lot of trouble if he didn't bother, but you can tell he actually cares.
Completely agree. The School Dinners campaign invited grief but his passion really was clear. Whatever else people think of him, I don't think we can say he doesn't care.

He deserves his success IMO. He does what he does well. If it were easy, more would replicate that success.

I like levi roots but one of his recent videos on YouTube was beans on toast with reggae reggae sauce mixed in.

Her son is a drug dealing spoilt cat rich kid. He didn't get that way by accident. His parents are to blame for how he turned out

Did anyone see that Deuxmoi blind about the celebrity chef that was obviously Gordon Ramsey?.Still relentlessly cheating on his wife.

I saw people saying on Youtube comments that Anthony Bourdain killed himself because he saw his partner with another man and they were photographed by paparazzi together. Is there any truth in that? I think she clamed they had an 'open relationship'
