It's quite hardcore, definitely not for the sensitive or a starter acid. I do find it stings when I initially put it on but my skin is not red or irritated when I remove it, just really smooth and my pores look more refined.
I think I’ll give it a miss, I’ll just be too nervous and wash it of at the first feel of a tingle lol. Although I don’t have the most sensitive skin I do have reactions to some skincare. The worst was neutrogena hydro boost. That stuff gave me the biggest red blotches all over my face and neck! I was sore for days after.

Thanks for the reply 😊

Has she ever actually said she doesn't like K Beauty though? I do remember she said she didn't like snail mucus products and that blew up but I don't think she specifically mentioned anything about Korea.

I found this on her website:

"Thirdly: If your response was ‘you’re denigrating Eastern culture and you just don’t understand’ – ERM NO. Let’s just nip that nonsense in the bud right now shall we? I was talking about one ingredient. I embrace a lot of Eastern routines when it comes to skincare (I actually cannot believe I feel the need to make this clear but that’s the f’ing internet for you), most famously the long-term use of multi-stepped routines, essences, layering etc. And I specifically said the trend started in South America.
I don’t like Clarisonics, washing my face in the shower or foam face washes, never have done, I don’t get ‘OMG you’re denigrating American culture and you must also hate electronic toothbrushes.’"

I don’t think anyone’s expecting a private derm consultation once a month with them. But I at least thought the initial consultation would be with a dermatologist. But by the sounds of it, it may not even be overseen / reviewed by a dermatologist, depending upon circumstances. It sounds as though they have certain derm created formulas and depending on whether you want it for acne or rosacea or anti aging, then a pharmacist picks which is the best fit? Derm consulted only if necessary. Or am I way off?

Thanks!
I do use The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid emulsion but have read this can’t be used at the same time as an acid. Or it can be but you have to be careful, don’t think I’ll take that chance so would probably only use it twice a week. I’ll have a look next time I’m in boots for the pixi tonic. I’ve seen that a millions times aswell. I was just looking at the mario badescu glycolic acid too as it’s only 2% so wonder if that’s a good starting point? I’m lost in a world of acids 🤯🤯🤯
CH hates Mario Badescu, think Sali too, just because the brand didn't want to $$ her, I have used their productsI still do eventually and got very good results including that product and my skin is very sensitive combination prone to acne i break out easily so always careful with what i put in my face.

Yesterday they were false lashes from being on This Morning. Today it looked like only mascara.

... Now, can someone please start trashing the kits and talk me out of wanting one? I have no willpower and it’s so much money for skincare 😭
I'm a sucker for a bargain and there are some nice brands and products in the kits. Seriously consider whether you need MOST of the items in the kit. If you won't use at least 6 of the products it isn't worth it. Also would you gift anything you wouldn't use to someone?

Don't forget she has the brand offers. Zelens usually does 30% off and what I've tried of his products whilst £££ are really nice. I hope most of the brands.do a discount, last time some did a free gift which doesn't cut it for me lol.

But the prescribers that give you your prescription aren’t actually derms.
I know, I clarified this above. They'll be working closely with the derms though seeing as this is a new business. I've actually had an email conversation with Nafeesa over the last few days because I wasn't happy with my first month and she's been really helpful and obviously knows what she's talking about.

There's nothing to say the pictures you send aren't also reviewed by the derms they have on board, just because the person writing the prescription is a pharmacist.

ETA also the base formulations and options they provide will almost definitely have been developed by the dermatologists in the team. Expecting a proper private dermatologist appointment monthly plus product for £20 a month is a bit silly tbh

They specialise in dermatology but they’re still just pharmacists.
I know because this info is openly on the website...

Hirons has it in her book, acid toning every day. I have “everything breaks me out skin”
I hate it and I don’t know where to start. How I came across Hirons. It all seemed too much to me though. I’ll just keep muddling along until I find something that works... Which feels like never to be honest 🙁

I wonder if she'll do yet another video where she gazes at herself and plays with her hair while pretending to be talking about concealer.
Almost certainly! While waiting for the simpering compliments to come flying in which she will then faux modestly deflect. Ohhh, Lindsey Kelk really does bug me, I'm sorry. If she was made of chocolate she would eat herself.

Good thinking. .. .it's seriously not worth spending that much... i wasn't going to buy but still did a honest poll n only allies of skin ..n zelens is really tempting. .n i don't think they do anything to justify that price tag... Antonia Josh are ok affordable with discount more so .... afford you'll be better off picking the 1 2 products you really want to try ..with the brand discounts

It willl evem the die hard freaks will tire out ... 2 kits a year would be ideal... tops 3 ... 4 is overkill... the last box she did with cult beauty that had blue cocoon n dcl pads was awesome...6 products
I think Nadine Baggott has an Allies discount code? Might be worth checking her insta, she put all her codes in a highlight recently

Quite a few of the beauty gurus I watch don't rate Mario Badescu products. James Welsh who I trust thinks the products generally aren't great but people buy them for the look of the packaging.

That said if something is working for you stick with it. I have only used the spray toners and they are ok but nothing special in my opinion.

I watched some of Dr Natalia's videos and I can't warm to her. That being said, it's rich that Caroline is accusing her of loving the drama. How many people/ brands has Caroline "come for"?

I'd tend to agree with this. As has been pointed out, Dr Natalia is simply the better qualified one
Who is Dr. Natalia and what is her channel? And I don't follow Caroline, I think she's annoying and talks too much.

I liked some of Dr Dray's advice, but I think she is doing too much ads and affiliate links. So I only click on her videos when I think the information is beneficial to me. I also follow other dermatologists and one in particular doesn't do ad or affiliate links. It's Dr. Davin Lim!

You might enjoy the Dr Sam Skincare FB group more. People are much more into simple evidence-based skincare there. Loads of people comparing their experiences with tret and a LOT of sunscreen chat. Dr Sam is pretty hands-off and it's mainly members supporting each other.
Sounds awesome thanks, I’ll check it out! 😍

It’s literally the only active I own. No AHAs, no BHAs, no vitamin C. Everything else I use is designed to soothe and moisturise. I got cocky once and added niacinamide to help with oil control but after a few days my face was burned. I threw it out and never looked at another active again 🤣
OMG I use the ordinary niacinamide serum daily. This is no good you say? :ROFLMAO: I do use vitamin C powder sometimes too. I mostly avoid acids.

There is actually only strength you can buy @Shineyshine ! I went back to ask for a lower strength a while ago.

I know CH mentioned having ADHD but her latest story seems to imply she also has chronic fatigue 🙄 I doubt that. I have 0% of her usual energy on a good day.
