In another thread someone said that they made a pilot and test audiences didn't like it. I said that I wonder who they tested it on (ie people who watched the original or young people now) because that would indicate how it was in a sense

I did start wondering this actually whether they’d had bad reviews after a pilot showing. It would be definitely interesting to know a bit more information about the whys behind the decision

Was this the one posted on Reddit? If so, I thought it sounded a little cheesy but on brand actually, I’d of like to have at least seen that pilot episode.
Apparently it was one executive that made it clear from the start that he wasn’t a fan and the series “wasn’t for him” and kept reminding people he’d not seen any of the show. Imagine working in that environment when you’re trying to bring a new version back to life? So negative

EXACTLY! I’m not sure this guy would have even appreciated there is a huge fan base out there that DID love the original and were looking forward to this reboot.
Also I know you asked the other poster where they read the script, I’m not even sure if what I saw was the script but it got posted to a Buffy group that popped up on Facebook. Im not actually on Reddit but apparently it was posted on there
