Well I like her. Her first column just repeated what I already knew from reading some of her books, but it gives first time readers a chance to get to know her. She doesn't take herself too seriously and tries to be as light hearted as she can be with the topics she chats about.

She’s gone with a friend who lost her husband this year. B’s husband stayed in London to ‘work’
Bryony was one of the original internet trolls back in the late 1990s/early 2000s. She, Caitlin Moran and loads of others of that moment were camped out on the Popbitch website (and the random web forum for the town of Liphook) and did nothing but cyberbully. Odd that she’s never written about any of it.
It's weird as she always seems insecure and desperate for male attention? She doesn't seem that witchy about females. I can imagine when she was younger she didn't like ones who got more male attention than her haha

She's been very open about her struggles since childhood in loads of different books.
Popbitch was never a blog. It was a weekly email and had a rudimentary message board. This is what it looked like 25 years ago:
Obviously no one used their real names but everybody commenting worked in media, in the same neighborhood (Soho), and so it quickly became obvious who was who. Bryony and Caitlin would even link to their own work.
I’m pleased someone else who remembers it has shown up! The setup was rather mad.
