Why on earth did Heather and Polly take that tiny plane to Belfast?
If there were no regular flights to Belfast from Liverpool back in 1983 (I can’t remember), there would have been plenty from Manchester - or take the boat over.
Perhaps there was a part in the storyline that I missed - but it looked like a death trap!

I had forgotten how the union storylines dominated the earlier episodes of the show. Endless conversations on the factory closing down - it went on for about two years.
My dad and brother were made redundant from Hygena in Liverpool around 1982. I remember wishing Brookside focused more on other storylines, as I had enough of it in real life..

Harold and Edna have arrived. Harold constantly on at Edna to shut up, that’s how I remember him. We will also see the “scandal” of their son living with a divorced woman who had a daughter. I was totally puzzled by this at the time - living with / marrying a divorcee was really no big deal in 1983. Maybe an issue for the very religious - but I don’t recall it being scandalous in 1980s Liverpool.

They’re both strong characters (but there must be a queue of folk waiting to have a go at Marie, she’s a horror!)

Im about 3 weeks behind now as i have had a nightmare finding the newest episodes. Ive maybe missed some but Lucy is back in the first one ive found.

I never realised the actor who played Billy Corkhill was in it before playing a teacher!!
For corrie watchers, Wendy Crozier is in it to!
Has anyone watched the recent ones? Who's the girl at school with Damon, I know her from somewhere but can't think where!

I’m wayyyyy behind (Harry’s gnomes have just been up Alan’s Christmas tree - not a euphemism) but is it Gillian Kearney? I know she’s in it at some point
