Welcome to the new thread all! Time for an update from Hope House.

Brogan and Benji are being supported by their keyworkers whilst visiting 5.6% of the world onboard Arcadia. Brogan has enjoyed some supervised swimming (hoist assisted) and interacted positively with koalas. Benji has continued to practice his personal independence skills and has engaged consistently with his laundry tasks. Unfortunately both Brogan and Benji have taken unsafe risks in the sun, despite the efforts of staff and now have sunburn-related injuries. Both parties are susceptible to overeating “snacks” and hoarding pins, which we continue to monitor.

The Arcadia men’s group provides a community for men to socialise safely and practice mobility skills with support. Since boarding the cruise, Benji has enjoyed this new-found freedom and the chance to have fun independently of Brogan. He’s always loved sport and comes here most days to have a walkabout and a natter.

She didn’t vlog some ports because it was just boring things like traditional dances, friendly locals and a private tour of the island from a knowledgable resident in his taxi. Glad she didn’t bother wasting time on that and instead showed us the breakfast buffet options for the third time and how Benji does laundry.

I’m sorry, I’m gonna offend people here but if you’re nearly 30 and creaming over fake stuffed disney figures and adults in costumes you need a good shake and a reality check. It’s just creepy and embarrassing for grown adults to be OBSESSED with disney and collect disney tat. It really gives me the ick. Fair play if you like a visit every now and then - if you offered me a free trip I’d go but I wouldn’t be buzzing for it and if I was spending that much money there’s far more interesting places to go than an over-manufactured, capitalist fake world.
