I’m sure Aoife has weighed everything up and isn’t going into the situation naively. It’s not as if it’s her egg, now that would be extremely difficult. I’m sure her and the little one will always have a special bond as she helped keep them safe and warm for 9 months. The hormones after birth are real though so I hope she’ll be ok.

I know.. I was like when I heard that. Now don’t get me wrong, he did say Aoife is a massive priority in all of this and that he doesn’t want her to feel left out when the baby arrives, and that he knows and expects her and the baby to have a lovely bond - but he is very baby focused. It’s baby this and baby that, and nothing wrong with that either. But there is no way in hell the aftermath won’t be hard on Aoife in every way possible. That’s just the reality of it.

It will be so so difficult to hand that baby over no matter what they all think. Like what if Brian is jealous that the baby just settles with Aoife etc of God I don't envy them.

Just hope Aoife is OK afterwards.

Plus she's only 32 he said today that she doesn't know if she will have kids she's 32 as if she was ancient

Not being bad but what is so special and different about them and their surrogacy journey, as someone said they are not the first gay couple, famous or not famous to do it, I remember the surrogacy program on rte ? A couple of years ago and there was a gay couple on it

The mother and whoever donated the sperm will go on the birth cert they didn’t say which one was the legal father but now it’s Brian’s sister I’m assuming Arthur and in 2 years the other person can apply for legal guardianship. They looked at adopting in the states but they moved back here at start of pandemic and they got no where here they said as gay couple it was hard so they decided go the Surrogate route
They both seem to be over the moon and what amazing thing for his sister to do

That is so incredibly embarrassing to watch. He's not even subtle about it. No picture of the dress or a "she's wearing something long and is looking for something along the lines of XYZ we've tried a few places la la la" it's literally "aoife what are you looking for, a headpiece".
