I keep refreshing the lush website to see if they will have an online sale this year but it’s not looking good - a shame really when they should be encouraging people to stay home and not crowd into their shops

I always hit up boots/superdrug etc for the fancier smellies to put away for gifts throughout the year & next Xmas (Park FTW with their love2shop card saving to cover that, just do £10 a month). Got my main family Xmas cards, few clothing bits for me from New Look and I managed to get a Next VIP early slot so all my stuff has arrived which covers a few more gifts too!

Most of Xmas 2022 is done bar the kids as need to get their toys nearer the time.

I did get some toys for the Xmas toy appeals though to pop away - matalan was quite good for that actually this year. Joules online have further reduced a few bits and they offer free delivery on Joules items so got some slippers etc for folk

Off subject slightly but I want to get myself a decent pair of wellies. Do I need to buy a size up? I've never had wellies before so not sure if I need a 6 or get my regular 5

Next seems awful for kids stuff this year? There’s literally itching in either of my sons ages??! Annoying as I normally do a stock up!

The majority of my Next sale order is coming on 11th Jan but some of it is estimated to arrive in Feb!
As others have said there is very little kids stuff available. I usually use the sales to stock up on stuff for the children, sometimes next size up etc but for the last year or so the sales have been quite poor. I think the quality has reduced a bit too which is a shame because it always used to be reliably good. I've also found sizing is really hit and miss these days, esp for women's clothes. I did get some nice cushions though!
oh fucks sake! I move house on Jan 4th. Rang next last night and they said if they change the address of the delivery, the order will be cancelled and items will go missing. Looks like I’m going to have to drive back to get it.

I like next clothes for my little boy, but I haven’t been impressed with the joggers that I’ve bought. T-shirts are okay, but joggers always seem to be too skinny or too long.

Went to Superdrug today to try and get a perfume set but there was none. Picked up some of their laying lab perfume instead for £5. Handy to keep in my bag.

Not a Next shopper but delivery across the board is absolutely shocking now - still waiting for Christmas presents to come at home in London & stupidly got 2 next day deliveries at my MIL’s up north and neither have come in over a week, I’m going home in two days so fuck knows what’ll become of them!

It makes me wonder if it’s worth bothering to do any online shopping until we’re getting at least weekly post?!

It really depends on brand I think. I usually go for a 4 (I'm a 3 and a half) but the 4 in Hunter wellies was massive. I've also got some lovely Tesco ones that are a 3 and I can can still get a thick pair of socks worn over thinner socks on comfortably. It's a bit hit and miss.
I'd recommend trying some on the next time time you go to the supermarket. That will at least give you an idea.

I want to buy some Hunter ones but weren't sure of the fit. I think I'll go for the larger size as I will be buying online. Thank you

Waterstones have 50% off hardback books for 3 days though, this included diarys so got myself a lovely bee decorated diary by Cath Kidstone.
