omg same! Especially how she just seems to take on jades personality. Liking all her favourite books. I swear she didn’t even read fantasy before.
and the nicknames ‘ratbags’ and ‘fanny’ are so forced. And when they’re on lives together they have to make a point that they’re REALLY GOOD FRIENDS.
Oh and a lot of booktubers are like this but I notice it about this group in particular - esp jade and Steph. They’re like ‘oh I feel like tit today’ and then all they do is drink energy drinks, get takeaway and stay up til 4am. It’s no wonder you don’t feel good..
My first post so I’m not sure if it’s been discussed but is Steph always so miserable? I don’t think I’ve even seen her smile in any video also she’s just really boring I don’t know how she has so many followers.
I just found one called Chapter and Converse.. she also mentions someone called Abby with a channel that sounded like Crime By The books.. hth
The more of Hayley in Bookland's Bookmas I watch, the clearer it seems that she just doesn't have the heart for book tubing and making videos anymore. These are all pretty chaotic and not in a good way.
Yeah I’ve felt that way about her bookmas videos for a couple of years now. I think I’ve only watched a couple this year because they just don’t interest me a lot :/ and I usually only watch her vlogs and recent reads anyway
agreed. She’s clearly just in it for the money and the higher CPM in December.
I know 31 videos is a lot but the quality of them has been pretty shocking.

This rubbed me the wrong way. "Children, you have spoiled a 20 year old book and now Santa won't come".
I do think that leaving spoilers on posts is rude and I wouldn't do it myself, but isn't this just an occupational hazard?

That book is way overrated any way.. basically lesbian soft porn.. I don't get the hype unless you are of that community.

Oh yes I like Ben Green too! I tried Hannah May but something about her rubbed me the wrong way. Unfortunately I think it was mostly her voice which is obviously not her fault.
Know how you feel. It does get to me at times.. I have to slot her videos in specific programming.. it is a rather whiny and moany tone /monotone which is often the tone of her videos. I do like her though aside from the constant health stuff... which is not her fault. I do feel for her as she's only young. Shedoes read a lot of good stuff that I've never heard of elsewhere
Idk I’d be really annoyed too, it sucks when people talk in a hint hint way, so they think it’s not “technically” a spoiler but really it is cause you can make it out from context or whatever. He’s not my fave but I’m with him on this one
I agree it's annoying but he's literally having a tantrum and making his followers feel responsible for his mood. I'd feel worse for him if he'd just been like "that's not cool, I'm going to read something else" but it's multiple stories like "WELL now I'm in a BAD MOOD and I'm NOT going to read it anymore because of SOME OF YOU". Grow up.
I think he said on IG that he’d blocked some of the people who “hinted” too
