could write an essay about how much i disliked crawdads tbh 🤣 i’ll spare you all but i do think it will work far better as a rose-tinted movie than whatever the book attempted to be.
Actually I'm curious to know your thoughts. I haven't read the book, but it's had so much hype and the local bookshop has been promoting it in a really annoying way. 😆

Reading the Black Prism series based on a suggestion from someone here. Those books are HUGE...lots to read.

i just finished this too! it stayed as a solid three star read for me - kristin hannah writes an amazing central character but then doesn’t have much left over for the supporting cast i find. she’d obviously done a lot of research and was determined to get every aspect of that research stuffed into the book, which made it clunky for me at times. very readable though!
Yes i agree. I should have mentioned found the ending a bit rushed and it left me a bit 😬 but overall a good read and a good view of those times.

Has anyone read Tender Is The Flesh? I saw a video on Tik Tok about it and Im intrigued. The reviews are pretty wild. 🙈
I read it at the end of last month and enjoyed it. It was so intriguing and scary to think of where humanity could go. It definitely disturbed me at points but in more of a “what would I do in that situation” way. I think I gave it a 4/5 in the end.
