Interested to see the overall list! Not read a lot of the books people are mentioning so I would be interested in trying a few.

I don’t think I could write a list lol, I find I forget what happens even if I really enjoy them (& rate them highly) and never reread.

I’m just fishing forth wing after getting it for 99p. My first ‘romantasy’, the fantasy side of it reads HA to me but I quite like the premise. I expected more sex / romance tbh, although I found the sex scene(s) quite cringe.

My Top 10 books, in no particular order:

The Will of the Many - James Islington
The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexandre Dumas
Lessons in Chemistry - Bonnie Garmus
And Then There Were None - Agatha Christie
Murder on the Orient Express - Agatha Christie
The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry - Rachel Joyce
The Secrets of Strangers - Charity Norman
Rebecca - Daphne du Maurier
Journey to the Centre of the Earth - Jules Verne
The War of the Worlds - H.G. Wells

I've also had a thought, after we've shared our favourite books, should we do the opposite and list our 10 least favourite, worst books.

The final list is going to be a real tome.

I'm trying to figure out a way to share the whole thing without making a post a mile long 😂

Because I’m an excel geek I’d do a pivot table and sort it from highest to lowest but it’s still going to be more than 100

I'd still probably get distracted by a massive rant about how awful either Doctor Zhivago was or how terrible The Ministry of Time was. And I wouldn't get round to the rest of my Top 10 worst books. 😂

I remember hating The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. But I read it when it came out in the mid-00s and now I can't quite remember what it was that pissed me off so much 😂

Piranesi every time. And what’s most annoying is that I understand why people loved it, I was so prepared to love it, there was something so stirringly beautiful about it, but I hated every page of it. All style, no substance, utter nonsense.

Dr Zhivago! I love the film watch it at least once a year but the book is a horror. Captain Corelli's Mandolin is another one where I love the film and detested the book.

Don’t come at me but I didn’t enjoy The Time Travelers Wife, it felt a bit like he was grooming her

I have spent the last few minutes reacquainting myself with my one-stars on goodreads, and I'm ready for the worst list 🤭

My top 10 isn’t as grand as others and definitely lacks some of the “classics” but I love them all, other than number 1, the rest are in no particular order.
1. A Monster Calls - Patrick Ness
2. The Time Travellers Wife - Audrey Niffengger
3. Wild Swans - Jung Chang
4. Kill For Me Kill For You - Steve Cavanagh
5. American Dirt - Jeanine Cummins
6. Pet Semetary - Stephen King
7. The Names - Florence Knapp
8. Trainspotting - Irvine Welsh
9. Project Hail Mary - Andy Weir (Audible version)
10. I Regret Almost Everything - Keith McNally (not sure if memoirs are included, but it’s a brilliant book!)

I only have 3 one star books on Goodreads 😲

However, looking at some of the two stars, I was probably being generous 😂
