What Kindle page turner/clickers does everyone recommend?
I have a random one from Amazon, I think it was called Sycelu? £7.99 on the deals.
I've decided to focus on some light reading.
I’m definitely going to read at least one Strike book (but imagine it might turn into more) in 2026..
I’m on holiday at the moment and reading Life After Life. If you remember i had a list of possible reads for my book club pick this month and that’s what I went for based on good reviews here. Really enjoying it so far! Don’t get as much time to read on holiday (I have a 19 month old) but trying to read a good portion every day and find I really want to go back to it
also, at the airport I went into their WH Smith bookstore (little mini one of just books) and they had a whole section of classics on a table. There were so many on my want to read list but i resisted as Life After Life is chunky and I have 8 unread on my Kindle. The Count of Monte Cristo is on my list for next year and I have Wuthering Heights for when I get home into October time

Anyone else here read Mark Edwards? I recommend him to everyone in real life but don’t often hear his name anywhere else. Psychological thrillers but rooted in otherwise “ordinary” scenarios.
I’ve read The Psychopath Next Door and Here to Stay and gave them both 4 stars. I remember them both being quite tense reads. I don’t know why I haven’t read more, off to add some to my TBR as it seems a lot are on KU.
Try reading Follow You Home - absolutely one of his best. Very tense but completely gripping. I think they are all on KU, that’s where I found them - think he was self published to start with.
Anybody got any recommendations for something to read after finishing the Throne of Glass series? I'm nearly finished Kingdom of Ash and I'll be devastated when it's over

I finished the protest by Rob rinder. Like I’ve said before I enjoy his books and like that he brings his experience to the stories so makes it much more true to life. But this book, I liked it but I was not satisfied with the ending! When I was reading it was at about 97 percent and was thinking surelyyy that’s not right.
while it didn’t end on a cliff hanger as such, it still wasn’t fully wrapped up like I thought it was going to be. I guess this one is going to be a sub plot in the next book

It's taken me 3 weeks to read it, but I've finished The Count of Monte Cristo. And I totally understand why you love it so much @LaBlonde
What a masterpiece of writing and storytelling. To be so gripping and engaging for nearly 1500pages and not a word wasted or for filler is an amazing achievement of writing.
It stands the test of time so well, the writing style even, makes it so easy to read compared to many classics which I find can be very hard to read because their dated style.
And the actual story, so good. Revenge and love, loss and grief, class and society. Oh. What brilliance. The imagery it creates. The depth of the characters. How everything is so well woven together throughout the whole story. Even when you think something isn't linked, it turns out it is. Just a brilliant read.
A classic that actually deserves its status as a classic! And I would recommend it to anyone. Don't be intimidated by the size of it. It's so nicely broken down into small chapters that it is so easy to read in manageable chunks.

Just finished Jenny Colgans Meet Me at the Seaside Cottages, that was an enjoyable couple of days reading. There was a saucy sex scene in the middle too which i wasn’t expecting! Jenny’s writing is normally more cupcakes and cute pets than people getting fingered 🫣
