Not sure You Are Here by David Nicholls (my last read) and Frankie by Graham Norton (currently reading) would be classed as literary fiction!Has anyone else come across the account of Steven James Reece? He’s a guy on book Instagram/has a substack etc. I quite like his content! Anyway, he has a categorisation system for types of readers and has put together a quiz. Red - and I really want to read the book about a time traveller that never existed, told through the medium of deleted Wikipedia entries and footnotes!

i’m back to say i researched this and there are a few reddit threads about it…. which all seem to agree that the book doesn’t exist and it’s a made-up synopsis
(also says all the synopsises are made up/hypothetical but i’m sure one of them was divine rivals
)

I'm blue, and I've read most of the recommendations. I was almost equally purple.
I finished Prima Facie last night and it was going to be 5 stars until the end.
I haven’t seen it on stage and couldn’t quite work out how it could be a one woman play, there’s an awful lot going on.
It’s not that I was expecting Julian to go down for grape. I think it was right that he didn’t with statistics being so atrocious for grape convictions. It was the lecture she gave to the court that I didn’t like. I felt it was a bit of a lazy way for the author to get their point across and felt very shoehorned in at that point in the court proceedings. I would have preferred it if the cross examination would have continued with the way she was realising that even though she was telling the truth it was not going to go her way. Then, after the verdict, the slow realisation that her entire career so far was a lie perhaps going on to what she was going to do next. The author could have done a separate chapter at the end detailing the conviction rates for grape etc and opened a discussion that way.
