A little bit nosey of me. But if anyone is willing to share I think I would find it super helpful. I am looking at putting in a house offer imminently. Can’t seem to find a reliable answer online so what are your outgoings per month and the size of your property? For things like electric/gas/water. All of that stuff.

3 bed detached

£32 for water (including sewerage)
£87 for gas and electric (however this will be going up to closer to £200pm)

Any others you interested in?

2 bedrooms
£30 for water rates
£150-£200 gas and electric - higher at the moment due to having to use the tumble dryer more and heating

Add in rent or mortgage, council tax, home insurance, tv licence, broadband, Amazon and Netflix. Food is a huge cost too. I’ve probably missed something.

Car finance £200
Car insurance £103
Gas and electric £200
Mobile bill £72
Wifi £58
Nursery £428
Food £600ishh
Water £30
Road Tax £11

My non negotiables each month are;

£475 rent (one bedroom ground floor flat in serviced communal space with garden area in the complex and a parking space).
£140 Council Tax (water I believe included in here as I'm in Scotland).
£80 electric/gas.
£12 Road Tax.
£21 Internet (sky).
£27 Entertainment (TV licence £12, Netflix £7 and amazon £8
£53 Insurances (car £35, home £10 and life £8)
£50 mobile phone and Samsung watch (most extravagant expense but it does also come with Disney plus and Spotify free with it so essentially "saves" (it's how I justify it to myself)).

My variables each month are what I spend on fuel, food, socialising and self care (sunbeds and getting my nails done).

Between us two
Mortgage 1500
Council tax 170
Water 30
Gas and elec 140
WiFi 25
2 X mobiles 16
Plus food which is around 40-60 a week for us both.

Both put £1200 each in to bills account and let it just roll over basically.

4 bed detached smart house with two annexes

No mortgage

Electricity is currently £250 per quarter, it went up massively recently then back down slightly 🧐

Oil heating at current prices around £2,400 per year but it’s been as low as £750 when oil was at its cheapest.

No gas.

Water is included with our rates (Northern Ireland) which are £3000 per year.

3 bed detached

£150 gas and electric
£60 2 x phone contacts
£70 Virgin Internet + TV

£13 home insurance
£350 childcare

Monthly home related bills (2 bedroom house in London):

Ah so jealous reading some of these!

2 bed flat in London (2 adults, 2 kids)
1600 rent
180 Council tax
54 water
180ish for elec atm (we are lucky our heating is communal - but also why rent is much higher)
No gas
100 phones (that's 4 mobiles)
22 Internet
20 netflix, amazon and apple
No car currently but about 250 travelcard
No more childcare costs 🙏 (bar the odd babysitting which I pay my niece for)
And then I try to stick to around 400 for food and household bits (but realistically its closer to 600 tbh!)

This is so interesting!

2 bed terrace on the south coast:
Mortgage £735
Council tax £180
Gas & electric £270
Water £50 (ish)
Car £200

then sky/Netflix/ Amazon.

food shop id like lower but I shop daily for dinner bits rather than waste bits for the two of us.

3 bedroom Semi South Devon:

Rent - £741
Council Tax - £150
Gas & Elec - £145
Water - £45
Car - £425
