I think Harriet is wicked and wish her nothing but the best, I was surprised at how skinny she's got and kinda sad cos I was a similar shape to her but its her life - she's also not wanged on about it in any way shape or form (no 'my weightloss journey') so more power to her in my book.

Good to see her podcast back again, they do recommend good books on there but I am literally rolling my eyes every time Alice refers to her greedy little gremlin hands grabbing for proofs or whatever. She just likes reading, she’s just like everyone else! And Bethany admitting that if a book gets a lot of hype she will just skip it is so condescending. Talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face, she might miss something really great but because she hasn’t discovered it and started the hype herself, she won’t bother? These two think a lot of themselves and I would say outside of their little london literary circle, nobody knows who they are or cares about what they have to say. They’re like Pandora and Dolly, but the gremlin edition (they self identify as gremlins or goblins or whatever, I am not casting judgement on their looks)

The scandi guy was Denis who's Norwegian, he had a gf in Norway at the same time as yer ole pal Bert who she was intimidated by.

I had a fair overlap of social group with her in the DOMO era too but never went to it for various reasons.

So I just finished the book...and actually I quite enjoyed it the my dude bad bitch dialogue was a bit much at times, but it was actually an entertaining read. Also, the whole 52 dates plagiarism thing is bullshit really - all the main character does is plan to go on a date a week to get her confidence back up, and she doesn't even stick to it! So that blogger doesn't have a leg to stand on in my opinion.

So yeah, not bad for 99p!

This person was pretty much Yer Pal Bert’s level of influencer when I knew them: blogger, podcaster, hosted events, big Twitter following, award winning, getting published, anthologies, magazine selections. I no longer keep contact and believe they went dark online but no idea why.

So it might be two different people which actually really upsets me. The person I knew was part of that group around The Arched Eyebrow Edgy Era who had multiple private Twitters and groups and were all subtweeting each other like Granny Gen X me passing notes in high school but they were the alpha betta fish in the pond and rich AF when Bert was trying to disguise her own bank balance so I fear it might be more than one. It would be vile at just one but the person involved did also plough through people like a butter knife and I could have seen it as ‘low blow because they screwed her on a deal.’

Ugh, I wish she was just hairy earrings level grifter not actual Grifter™️ level. That’s a spin she can’t boast away…
