Why has she had the vaccine? Genuinely curious. I thought she was fit as a butcher’s dog.

They have a bit more options apparently lol. What I like about their philosophy is that you don't have to spend an hour at home reproducing the haircut you had when leaving the salon. Very low maintenance. On the other hand, in their photos, it looks like you didn't go to the hairdresser at all haha

I know - I was totally shocked when I saw all the tweets about it. I knew she was chronically ill from some of the things she talked about but didn’t realise it was that dire. She seemed like a lovely person.

I saw on Twitter today that the journalist Dawn Foster has passed away, which is really sad, she was so young. Didn’t Bethany used to live with her? But she hasn’t said anything or seemed to like any of the posts about it. Did they fall out?

She’s 5’10 or something isn’t she? And still carries weight round her stomach. I reckon she’s probably an 18 heading towards a 16 - saw her semi recently but she’s prob lost more weight since then.

Her clothes all look too big atm though so she prob is still wearing 20s.

She looks a 16-18 to me. In the past she was a 22.

Yeah I listened on Audible and tbh I did enjoy it but it was very much a light read. The writing on a line level was very meh and the story was somehow predictable and cliche even though it dealt with interesting topics. There were parts I enjoyed and I liked that she writes about a sex positive fat protagonist having fun but overall pretty underwhelming

I think if a close friend of mine had written a YA novel, I would buy and read it to support them but I genuinely cannot imagine buying and reading a YA novel just to get some kind of validation from the author on twitter.

I also saw the tweet from Charlotte BHC and thought that was aimed at Bethany! Obviously Bethany is in an extremely privileged position due to background and upbringing but I don't know enough about the publishing world to know if her success is due to that or if she is a genuinely great writer (or even just that there was a massive gap in the market for plus size YA fiction?).

Does anyone else listen to the What Page Are You On? podcast that she does? I really like Alice too and generally enjoy the podcast but I find Bethany's voice really distracting - it seems like such an affected way of speaking plus constant uptalk at the end of each sentence! Maybe I just don't hang out with enough privately educated people from the south east (!) but I've never heard anyone talk like that before and I find it really grating after a while!

She seems really happy with her husband, even if they are an unlikely pairing, no snark on that!

There’s only one good photo in that set, the rest are trash. The first one doesn’t even look like her. I agree with the comment above that said she’s purposefully trying to look shit - I’ve never seen her post pics like those before so why do it for “headshots” / book press requirements!

I used to follow Bethany years ago and hadn't seen her for ages. I can't believe how much weight she's lost. And still claiming to be a size 20? I'm a size 16 and she's smaller than me
