I guess in his head he has tasted top club successes and doesn’t want to go any lower and cos he signed the contract he doesn’t want to lower his wages ? But no one is gonna pay him 200k week with his injury record? Even a loan would be better? Where chelsea pay some of it but then again 200k is a lot . Kepa had to lower his wages he was on 200k now is on 90k.
What happens he just won’t play?? Didn’t Danny drinkwater go down this route?
I mean he is Owed those wages but he won’t play then

I’m with Stephen on this one . They offered him this contact and now they can live with the consequences. I mean it’s very different of course , but I wouldn’t be moving to another location at work for less money either.

Especially on 200k a week until 2027 he won’t get that anywhere else
But he’s 28 now and time goes quickly it just means he doesn’t play near would be a loan but not sure who would pay his wages

Yeah Drinkwater went out on loan loads, saw contract out never signed for anyone else then retired.

Is this really how he wants the end of his career to be? For people to hardly remember him and fizzle out like drinkwater did for ££ he hardly needs when you weigh up the other side of the coin.
He has the opportunity to prove Chelsea and their fans wrong by leaving (yes with a pay cut) and try and make the end of his career one he will be proud to tell for years to come. He’s too talented to just sit and collect the ££s and have a crap ending to his footballing career.

Harvey needs knock some sense into him because he’s thinking with his wallet and not with his future careers and his passion of football. By end of his career bro won’t even know what a football looks like if he stays at chelsea

I’m actually pissed off but not for the same reason as most Chelsea fans. I’m pissed off at him for not trying to end his career better. Instead just throwing the towel in on his club and country career. Silly boy.

I feeel clubs won’t approach him due to his injury record and wages let’s see what happens in the next few weeks but surely he will want to play he is 28 now he hasn’t played full game since like April or may

Clubs will but there will be lots of negotiations due to those factors.

You should go thing is also England he definitely won’t play again if he doesn’t get a move either Lewis hall is starting to play well . And longer he’s out will he even be the same player . Hopefully someone comes forward and he accepts it
