I agree. The ring is significant because from what we see in their relationship it comes across that it wasn’t and isn’t accompanied with any romance. It felt more like a ‘we’ve got a kid and a blended family I need to tick a box’ ring.

I feel like that's why they got engaged, because they are a FaMiLy. Again, the price is irrelevant.
