I’ve followed Becky since about November (she is how I know about this forum) I followed her because of her ott love for Christmas
. I don’t know much about Becky’s life but I’m going to assume she had issues as a child, maybe lots of siblings or a lack of attention from parents.
She has classic low self esteem and she uses Instagram to gain validation. She literally couldn’t cope without it now and would spiral down into a low mood if she had to delete it.
Her excessive buying/decorating is the same as Hinch’s excessive cleaning/buying, It’s a way of feeling superior to other people. It gives her a chance to feel like she’s the best at something and assert control over something and the followers back this up. It’s a narsassitic trait but that doesn’t mean she has the personality disorder.
You’ll notice now Becky has lost control again she’ll be quieter do less in the house, less decorating, less buying. More exercising. People will reach out to her on and offline and validate her need for admiration. She’ll get a grip of the self esteem again and you’ll see less exercising and weight loss and more buying and decorating. Becky’s need for control manifests in weight loss which is the worst thing she can do because it’s destroyed her looks and at her age anymore weight loss will age her terribly. Botox can’t fix the damage to her face, it’s very sad and I do feel for her. She needs to see a therapist not the treadmill.
