Thankfully GK is only doing Thursdays . Presumably she’s doing it pre recorded as when Radio 1 gave her a run of shows last summer, she swore on air in the second show. Which kinda makes it even more ridiculous that she’s been given a second run at it !

Did anyone hear Ellie doing the traffic during Sara's show this morning? It's almost awkward to listen to given how chatty Ellie can be with Garry and Vernon. There def appears to be no love lost there!
I'd not listened to Sara's show for more than a couple of mins but heard the first half hour this morning before Greg as I had an earlier start; in that period they were interacting and having a bit of a laugh but it was very clearly forced
Ellie reminds me of one of those women in an office who's always bantering with the lads and "just gets on better with men" and so does Sara to a degree so I was expecting this dynamic tbh
Christ Sara did kids in a car this morning. Surely surely surely it can’t continue beyond this week when kids are all back to school. I keep persevering with it as I liked her on tea time and have listened to radio 2 breakfast out of habit for a long time but the new show is genuinely dreadful. Stop the stupid irritating sound efforts. It’s so grating. I swear she didn’t do it as much on tea time??. She is also really hamming up her constant jokes and being ‘daft’ and seems to be the only one allowed to be ‘funny’ so the rest of the team are just flat and lifeless. They need to switch out Ellie as it’s not working. She has much better rapport with Ritchie as much as I find him annoying too at least there was banter and he’s confident enough to speak up alongside her. I really thought with the new school term and her having a break last week they were planning to come back with a more dialled down and less CBBC vibe but it’s still the same nonsense. Urgh
I’m actually gutted they are gone, as you say they really gelled together and it’s cause they are genuine pals. I’m not keen on Jerry. I’ll need to find a new station to listen to.

I might be in a minority but I can’t stand GK and won’t be listening, I also hope she fails. The article says they want to do attract younger listeners - do young people listen to the radio? My oldest is nearly 18 and he listens to everything on his phone but not the actual radio, he only listens to that when I’ve got it blasting out
