Haven't listened to much radio this Xmas, but between Xmas and New year R1 have seemed to of stopped their year by year playlist of the last 20 years with work experience DJs. The DJs were always so bad, but I used to enjoy the older playlists!

Tina back in for Jeremy FFS. Mark Goodier in for Scott again too. Looks like I’ll be listening to Absolute and Spotify this week

This is really good if you’re an early 30s Millennial and you want to reminisce. I had most of these songs on my bright green IPod Nano 😂

Very much enjoyed Mark in for Scott this morning, that’s what R2 mornings should be (in my opinion), less mundane chatter between the host/travel/news about the party they went to at the weekend or their favourite biscuit, more music and call ins from listeners.

Also Trevor Nelson with niche stuff, rather than catering for a wide audience.
Listened to Trevor for the first time in a while today, awful songs, no variety whatsoever. I think he just sticks on his personal Spotify playlist and says 'that'll do' 🥴

Tony Blackburn said he walked into a Pub with a roll of Tarmac under his arm and asked the barman for a pint of lager.......and one for the road 😬

Happy 83rd birthday Tony

Love listening to Liza Tarbuck she has been away for 2 weeks now?
She's hilarious and plays great music.

I caught DJ Spoony last night while driving back from visiting family, what a fab show & music!

For how long has Michelle Visage done musicals on a Sunday afternoon? Got a right shock earlier- what have they done to Elaine Paige?

I thought the Black Coffee was dire but that they sang their current single ok. Missed the Glenn Campbell, prob best 🫣
