Dear oh dear.

I knew it was all very dodgy, but even I wasn't expecting this. I'm not entirely sure that The Sun are totally in the clear here if it's true that they were messaged by the person concerned before running the story to say it wasn't true.

I'm not sure that they'd be able to wave an affidavit around and say "but she pinkie promised".

Yikes. We're going to need a bigger popcorn, folks.

What if the evidence the mother has given to the Sun is documents / information that is not hers to share?

Copies of bank statements, phone records, etc which belong to her ‘child’ who is in fact an adult, who has not consented to their data being shared.

The Sun cannot share that without consent of the data owner, can they? So they can’t publish the ‘evidence’.

They won but was later discredited in the American case that I followed. Sorry I didn’t follow the sun trial as they lie anyways regardless.
