Low risk doesn't mean no risk by any means. Both mum's and baby's condition can change in an instant when seconds count, and being away from the resources and expertise a hospital offers can be disastrous, even if you call an ambulance.
---
There is a very large study that shows home birth is safer for second mums and equally as safe for babies.
I'd love to read this study if you've got it!

She seems like a genuinely nice person but wow being pregnant is her entire personality. It’s like she’s the first women to have a baby. Talk about milking for content.
I can’t stand her. They are both desperate to make grifting online their whole personality 🤮

Many babies die in hospital also.
Saying home birth is extremely risky just isn’t true. There is a very large study that shows home birth is safer for second mums and equally as safe for babies.
Respectfully and not trying to dismiss anyone or moderate. But let’s not get into that discussion on this thread. We know this topic can be so personal and everyone has valid opinions and reasons 🙏 Can this be taken to a different thread (like Palestine discussions, Covid discussions) we all end up fighting.

She drives me up the wall with her q&as. Every answer is get a consult. Why even bother with the q&a when you don't answer the question. And she's bleeping annoying in dm's. Asked her a question about her dairy and soy free diet and she completely avoided the question next day she's eating Maltesers and pop corn at the movies
She’s a walking contradiction. Sleep specialist whose kids don’t sleep. Sold a sleep company to start another sleep company.
Buys all Temu and Ali express stock and sells it for three times the amount.
Always taking her sick kids out.

Does anyone follow / know of Chelsea Williamson? Recently moved her life down to Melbourne to be with her (very recent) partner. I believe the partner is a friend of Paige Kennedy / Paige’s husband as they met at Paige’s wedding. She’s just announced she’s pregnant and I’m not judging but sisssss… I remember her crying about a breakup life it was yesterday?

Edit: just scrolled through and they have been official for 6 months.
Yes I was so shocked to see the pregnancy announcement, she seems like a lovely person. Maybe a year ago she was having lots of emotional moments around being single/wanting a family/turning 30 so I’m not surprised the pregnancy was fast tracked.

Yeah can we pump the brakes on the birth stories? I’m on my second pregnancy and come here for entertainment and fun. 🤩

Not sure if she’s been mentioned before but does any follow “mums with hustle” AKA Tracy Harris?

Spent the last couple of months romping around in her bikini in Bali selling her workshops and retreats and helping women “live their life by design”

I find her husband so creepy 🤢

I have found reputable studies that say a second labour homebirth is as safe as a hospital (as safe, not safer).

I do agree that should put the birth debate aside.

However I will say that a homebirth generally has midwives present. Free birthing has no medical professionals in attendance so it's quite different.

Influencers with zero medical knowledge, promoting free birthing when there could be considerable risks associated, is not the same. And it's irresponsible in my opinion.

We can snark on that aspect 🤷🏼‍♀️

Influencers shouldn’t be able to give medical advice regarding any topic what so ever, I know they say they don’t but so many people are influenced but them.
Leave medical advice to the professionals, I know all professionals aren’t great but influencers need to stop

There’s a BIG difference between a home birth and a free birth. The terms cannot be used interchangeably

Yeah you mentioned that, have you got the references? Because I'd love to read them

And this is why I am so interested in fitness and health influencers in particular. A LOT more regulation is required. And I’m not just talking about free births. Influencers will dangerously fast/restrict/avoid anti biotics, whatever, and say in the same breath they are just sharing their journey and aren’t giving advice. In my eyes this isn’t good enough. Accounts like Sarah’s Day are so bleeping problematic. I could rant all day.

SO shocked! I came here last night to see if anyone had made a comment.. Her partner never seems happy, which I hope isn't the case! :( Wish them all the best, but does seem VERY sudden..

Urgh she's been in this space FOR YEARS, used to follow her probably about a decade ago when I was running my business. Oh what a time that was, influencers were low key and business coaches weren't so douchey. Her Facebook group was the worst.
