So glad I found this thread. I've watched ASMR for years but it's always felt like a secret.
itsblitzzz/Julia is pretty much the gold standard of ASMR for me. I'm quite fascinated by her life but agree that she's completely out of touch and quite contradictory. I think she's a product of that LA lifestyle - you only have to look at the instagrams of all the women she films with to see it. I'll always return to her videos though.
The BBBY stuff is eyeopening. I don't follow her on anything but youtube so was totally unaware, but she seems like a nightmare. I like her face mask store role play but I find a lot of her videos too quite - as in, she doesn't say much for long periods of time and that doesn't really work for me.
Some recs:
- Recently discovered Oceans ASMR - she's great and sweet and her mall massage/lotion sales roleplay is perfect.
- GreenbeautyASMR is also pretty good- she definitely puts on a voice/way of speaking, but it works. Her spa roleplay is great.
- ASMRChar did a massage video with one of her OF friends. It's short but really works for me for some reason. That said, I do find her videos with her (new) bf quite icky.
Does anyone remember the (in my mind) original Lilli Whispers? She's now VictoriousASMR and does random cooking videos which I don't really get, but her videos from years and years ago are amazing.

So many of them do this. It’s really tacky to me when big creators do this, like people with 1 mill subs like Karuna. I agree. Get a proper job if it isn’t paying the bills. I feel like this new behavior has changed my perspective on a lot of ASMRtists. It’s icky.
Shillitv is a great asmrtist. She pays for and has these amazing traditional Chinese health treatments. Fascinating stuff. Her latest video where she got her makeup done for her wedding was very nice!
I love that channel! Not even just for the ASMR, some of the treatments are really interesting to watch.

I saw in Karuna's latest video she's saying she has Graves disease and needs radiotherapy for it? Is this new?
I would pay good money for moxibustion therapy I’ve looked everywhere in London to see if they do anything like what they do on shilitvI really like ShilliTV! Same for ASMR Twix (I think I like her videos a tad more even), simply because the treatments are nice to look at, interesting and different. I'd pay good money to go to a "head spa", but they simply don't exist here

Relatively. She’s been saying there’s been something wrong for a few months but the video is the first time she’s talked about her thyroid issues.
Karuna has like two old ASMR videos that are my comfort sleep videos, but she put ads in the middle of the damn videos so now I can't even peacefully watch them. I am not getting Youtube premium because Karuna is a greedy witch.

(unless you jave a mac) scroll to the end of the video and replay it, ads disappear
Doesn't work on iPhones unfortunately.
Youtube Vanced is a lifesaver. You have to download it from their website rather than an app store, but there are no ads and you can turn the screen off while a video plays.
Some of them put multiple and I don’t think they understand their audience??? Mostly I see it on food ASMR channels like ASMR the Chew and I avoid those now like the plague.
I use YouTube no cookies - just find whatever video you want to play and put a dash in between the t and the u (so it’s like yout ube)
Chose a gentle whispering one as a demo. Works for me.
