Had the inspire HR for over a year now. I absolutely love it. I bought it because I'd just started going to the gym and wanted to monitor it. I like it cause it's water proof so you can go swimming (or do the dishes, shower etc) and it includes different exercises. I lift weights and do interval training which are on there as exercises. You can track your sleep as well. (wouldn't recommend if you get depressed when you see how little sleep you get 😂 )
The battery lasts awhile on it. I've used it for 2 weeks before it has started to get low enough to really need charging. Got a stop watch, timer, alarms and all shit like that. I like the app as well. Tracks my periods, water intake etc.

I've never had any other type of fitness watch so can't compare but for the £90 I paid for it I think it's been well worth it. Especially considering I was going to just buy a cheap one.

What are you using it for? Before I started going to the gym, I just wanted one to monitor my heart rate and steps so I bought a £20 from Asda which did the job just fine.

I have a Fitbit and an Apple Watch (I got given the Apple Watch at Christmas, I didn’t seek one out knowing I had a Fitbit; I find them similar) - Fitbit wise I had the charge 3. Had no issues with it at all, it was comfortable, did what I wanted it to do (tracked steps, calories, heart rate and sleep etc). I find that compared to the Apple Watch the Fitbit holds charge better - I could wear my Fitbit for at least a good three days before it needed a charge, whereas my Apple Watch needs charging every other day. The Apple Watch has more things to do on it, for example I find it handy that you can text or pay for things via your watch. I do find that the Fitbit goes into more detail on stuff like you heart rate and sleep than the Apple Watch.

Ultimately I think it comes down to what you want the watch for. If you just want it to use as a watch, to aid your fitness routine/exercising I think a Fitbit would be the better option, if you want that as well as the ability to use the watch as a phone then go for the Apple Watch.

@Doc I had the exact same problem! Got a replacement but the same happend again.

I‘ve now switched to an Apple Watch and I love it! Especially if you have an iPhone it works much better.
If you are really serious about tracking workouts then I heard Garmin is best but for just everyday tracking and not needing the stats to be 100% the apple watch (and a Versa if they work 😂) are fine

I had one and the screen kept playing up. No matter what I did nothing helped. I upgraded to the Versa 2 and the same thing happened after a year. I got so frustrated just before Christmas spending such a long time on the help line, reading up online, until I just gave up. My husband bought me an Apple Watch for Christmas which I’m still exploring. The Fitbit when it works is great and obviously much cheaper than the Apple Watch. What I do find useful now though is that my watch is now ‘married’ to my phone which helps.

I have a versa 2 and it's rubbish. Always glitches and jusr dies randomly even though it's fully charged. I'm gonna get an apple watch instead I think

Totally with @Welshgal. The watch is great and everything transfers from the watch to phone which is very convenient . The battery however drains fast. I charge mine overnight and that seems to work ok for me. Still exploring as it’s quite new

I’ve got a charge 4, and I love it. Battery life is good even when you use the inbuilt gps. Slightly less smart looking than the versa ones but much more functional and none of the black screen glitches either. I’ve had it for a year now

I only want it to track my steps, heart rate and sleep cycles really. I’m a staff nurse so won’t be able to wear it at work. Hoping I can keep it in my pocket to still count the steps?
My sister puts hers around her ankle at work 🤗 wouldnt fit round mine 🤣

I had a Versa and following an update at 4 months old, it corrupted the software and the only solution was getting a replacement. Within 3 weeks the same thing happened to that. Versa was then an old model, so they replaced with a Versa 2.

I let the battery run down over Christmas and now it’s glitching 🙄 either I’m really unlucky or there’s a flaw with updated software.

If you go on the Fitbit Versa forums “screen gone black after update” You’ll see it’s a very common problem. 🙁

ETA: when it works, I love it. Battery is pretty good unless it’s glitching and it seems really accurate in terms of recording exercise/heart rate.

I have a Versa 2, got it in the first lockdown last year. I wear it every day, it holds battery really well and has some good features - although at the moment I’m only really using it for checking my steps!

I used to sleep with it on top to look at my sleep patterns but got out of the habit after a while.

Same here, going to save up for an Apple Watch. From my experience, Fitbits are expensive for the amount of time they’re useful for

I had the one that looked like a cheaper Apple Watch. I don’t remember the name of it but it was about £200 I think, and black. Anyway they had to replace it 3 times for me because it kept going faulty so in the end I returned it and got an Apple Watch, which I love and have never had a single problem with. I don’t think I would bother with a FitBit again. Depends though if you have a lot of Apple stuff, one of the big pulls for the Apple Watch is that it talks to your phone so if you don’t have an iPhone it’s probably not as useful

I got the versa 2 for Xmas. Can't really get on with it though. I went to the bathroom and it said I'd done 265 steps! I'm pretty sure I dont live in a mansion.

I need to sit and set it up properly just can't be arsed😬

Charge 3 and im happy with it as it does what I need. However I did experience an issue where the screen faded to the point where you could no longer see it unless you were in a really dark place. So not ideal if you want to see how many steps you were on or even just see the time whilst outside. It was just under 2 years old when this happened. I checked Fitbit forums and this seemed to happen to quite a few people. I contacted fitbit and they sent me a replacement identical device free of charge which I thought was pretty good of them!

Have you been in touch with them? I’ve had so many (free) replacements over the years.

I think I’m on my third ionic where things have gone wrong - I just message them on Twitter they look to see when I set it up and cos it’s always been in warranty of 2 years they’ve sent me a new one. I didn’t even have proof of purchase as it was a Christmas present and told them this.

So I don’t think their hardware is great but their customer service has always been excellent.

They used to do one that you could just clip onto the waistband of your clothes or put in your pocket. Not sure if they still do it.

Sorry to hijack the thread OP, does anyone with an Apple Watch actually really like their watch? Is it worth the money over a Fitbit?

I have been considering an Apple Watch for when my fit bit eventually dies it's death. I doubt it'll be anytime soon but mainly because I have an iPhone anyway, and then my laptop died a few months ago so I replaced it with a Mac laptop as it was the only laptop I could find that could be seen to British in Germany, so I feel like getting in Apple Watch instead of another Fitbit might be better as then they'll all sync. Right now I have the Fitbit app so that's fine.
yeah does anyone have an opinion. I don't want to spend the money on it if it's not going to be better than my Fitbit
Loove my apple watch. It is so nice how easily everything is transferred between the different devices. Everything works a lot better imo and very well worth the money. Especially considering the difference between the higher Versa‘s and cheapest apple watch isn‘t that huge.
Only downside is the battery life but once you figure out a routine when to charge it it‘s perfectly fine ☺
