I just meant an official statement from the Palace, not a Statue or a Bank Holiday for a celebration. What's so bad about that?

Andrew is a sleaze and has very few, if any, redeeming features, but I'm certain that shagging a 17 year old doesn't make him a n/once.

A paedophile (or pedophile) is a person experiencing a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children or children in early puberty.

Unless you know something the rest of us don't?

That word (the P word) does tend to be mis-used these days. I've heard people shout it out in the street, to someone they don't like.

It's on the 21st. One of my daughters shares the date. When I had her several midwives said, oh she shares the Queen's birthday, something I've never forgotten.

I think the Queen was stoic and resilient which many younger people see as a negative today. True she had a huge team of staff behind her but she could never afford to have an off day and would never have considered failing in her duty. Yes she had her faults as a mother, yes she was seen as cold and reserved when Diana died but she was of an era when having a stiff upper lip got you through many crises and maybe this isn't so bad?

"here's how we would have celebrated your 100th birthday if you haven't been sent to your grave by Liz Truss..."

This. She always mentioned her duty. I read once that Easter Sunday and Christmas Day were the only two nights where she didn't do her official boxes (i.e. paperwork).

I mean, I'd sack it off for a few days when at Balmoral etc.
