an absolute pisstake that it’s taken him a couple of weeks to be arrested for misconduct in a public office yet nothing for years for having sex with a trafficked girl.

loving that his birthday was chosen to arrest him though. Now waiting with excitement for news of Mandelson’s arrest too.

I bet Andrew wishes he’d never sidled up to William at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral now, that was the straw that broke the camels back.
It could be a case of whatever you can get him for / maybe this is more straightforward to prove.

Just been an update on BBC that that neither the palace or Charles were informed prior to the arrest.

I drove past the entrance to Royal Lodge driveway earlier and wondered what had happened, there was a lot of cars and people about. Straight to LBC to hear the news. Whoops a daisy Andy!

I bet the worst indignity is some police plebian calling him Andrew, or at best Mr M-W. He will be gutted!

I think the misconduct in public office investigation may have been going on for some time. I watched a TV interview with some legal bigwig, at least a year ago - following various revelations, regarding Andrew and China. I think there was also mention of Epstein in relation to this, back then.
I recall it being said - that he was likely to be getting his collar felt over it (though maybe, not in those words)!
I don’t think this is a knee jerk reaction, to the most recent Epstein file dump.

If that is a real statement from KC, it's interesting how he is distancing himself with "Andrew M-W" rather than "my brother"...

Well after he's been questioned, he'll probably be bailed while investigation continues before charges Hopefully with a tag on and a curfew!!

I’ve got nothing relevant to add, I’ve never been on this thread but you can be sure I nearly broke my ankles running here when I saw the news. GET IN!

The palace might not have been formally told as in date or time but they for sure knew it was coming.

I noted that too. Personally I’m hoping one of them call him The Andrew formally know as Prince in the next statement

There will be absolutely no justice served with this guy.

So far:
He’s lost his “job”. Great - I’d be happy to be paid not to work!
He’s moved from a mansion to a slightly smaller mansion
He continues to be bankrolled by the king.

Now he’s been arrested:
Not a chance he’ll be in a cell in a police station… he’ll have been taken to some fancy secret place to be questioned due to “security reasons”

If he’s charged:
He’ll just go back to his slightly smaller mansion and told to stay put, having paid bail with our tax money

If found guilty:
Likely sentence will be 2-3 years in prison, by which time he’ll have “served” his time in his slightly smaller mansion with his tag on.
If any prison time does need to be served, it won’t be a normal prison… it’ll be in an even slightly smaller mansion.

All of this is costing us tax payers money - paying Andrew: paying for his legal fees; paying for the investigation; paying the court fees; the judge, solicitors, police… and Andrew will have been just slightly inconvenienced

That’s interesting as I wondered if that was why his shotguns were taken away.

Not that the Palace should have been pre-warned, the King has enough on his plate with his health to be put in a difficult position over his reprobate brother.

Unfortunately you are probably correct. You can’t even say he will be publicly shamed because he has no shame.

Saw this on Reddit:

🎶 The Grand old Duke of York,
he had 12 million quid,
he gave it to someone he’d never met,
for something he never did.

And when his trousers were up
they were up,
and when his trousers were down
they were down.

And when they were only half way up,
you can bet he was noncing around 🎶
