I put this on the Jeffrey Epstein thread but maybe more relevant here.....The sceptic in me fears they are doing this to make it look like they are doing something about it and nothing will come of the worse stuff. Charge him on lesser charges to appease the public maybe. I am cynical in my old age though 😂
Misconduct in Public office is a serious charge. If it can be proven, that he has traded secrets / used his influence, for personal gain he will be in deep trouble.

Absolutely and he deserves everything he gets. I would just like to see him being brought to justice on the other, much worse issues. Hopefully I'm wrong!

The trial will be complex if it goes that far , it’s not a straight forward thing when he’s so publicly known.

I think when he was a trade envoy so the position Mummy made up for him right, correct me if I am wrong, he used it to enrich and embezzle for himself. And he is a complete bleeping moron, so he'd of course give state secrets away including to his bestie.

the emails Sarah sent to Epstein always read to me like she would have sold her own daughters into sex slavery if she could have made money out of it.
The Duke of Kent was trade envoy before him, it's a real position. Interesting that Charles objected. Said it would all go wrong, offered to train him within the princes trust. His advice was ignored, put down as sibling rivalry.

So in theory, if charged he will be tried in his brothers court. Is Sarah next I wonder because whatever he's done she will have done far worse.

Honestly the cynic in me says that this was a pre planned arrest and the palace given the heads up. He'll be released without charge/charges dropped and no wrong doing found. Then the royals can say that they fully cooperated and draw a line under this particular issue.

Happy to be proved wrong!

Oh, okay, I thought the Queen made sure it was kind of created for him. Definitely put him in that position, though.

Charles has known his brother is a wrongun and Lord knows he has some bad decisions but I think with Andrew he's been spot on.

The evidence for misconduct in a public office is pretty strong. I’d wxpect he’d get a suspended sentence or some other slap on the wrist though. I don’t think they’d have enough evidence for sexual offences though. Unless they have evidence we don’t know about.

A thorough shame Mother Dear didn’t live to see this happy day. At least there’s SOME consoltation in knowing that the fact she paid his blood money to protect her own damp squip crappy Jubilee is going to be a permanent stain on her otherwise-boring reign.
Loving it!

You just know he'll never be imprisoned like other prisoners if it ever got that far, there will always be special treatment. Should never be a monarchy in this day and age.

Seems like this has been put to the forefront rather than the sexual Epstein stuff imo. Better of 2 evils for him, I reckon thats why

What’s the betting he will get an ankle tag, house arrest and we are told nothing to see here, move along.

Do you think he was allowed a support Teddy from his collection ?
